No. That's the 360 outselling the PS3 in NA. And the PS3 outselling the 360 in EU. Do you work for Fox News?
How many people do you think (here in the states, we all know the PS3 40GB sold 50k its first day in Japan) are going to make a $400 purchase, with Xmas weeks away? T-H-I-N-K
@ Malkier
Did I say that? Read a book and learn how to spell "buy". Better yet, slap your mom for not swallowing.
Two words: Reading comprehension.
PSN is free so why whine about a free service being down? Paying for something that doesn't work, as most 360 owners experience, should piss you off.
Only an idiot brings up DVD in a BD/HD DVD discussion. Meh. Bygones.
It's losing. It will always lose. And the articles you ass clowns post are a combonation FUD and flat out lies. Deal with it. Now go watch King Kong that came with your HD DVD addon and no other movies, because rather than support the HD DVD format you talk about it.
That's all you got? DVD? Sad, so sad. Doesn't change the ass kicking HD DVD is getting handed.
I love how people compare $90K cars to $20k cars and think that comparison is accurate, let alone holds up in a format discussion. Keep trying. Won't change the fact that the Dodge Viper of HD formats is killing the Civic.
EDIT: Just use an analogy that is appropriate to the discussion. Of course price matters, but comparing a $90k car to a $400 dollar BD player is a sad, sad joke. It doesn't help your argument to look like an utter jackass. But PLEASE keep it up. I enjoy the ...
The GC sold 1 million consoles less the Xbox 1. It wasn't as much a failure as people like to think. Well, at least not as full of fail as your comment. Keep trying though.
When Microsoft backs something, it does more harm than good. Only thing MS brings to the table is $ and today, today it takes more than $.
You'll own BD sooner than you think. But "Hang in there".
EDIT: @hitthegspot
For something incomplete, Spidey, Bond, Pirates, hell even Robocop, sure do look good. Keep waiting for specs and I'll keep watching great BD movies.
Didn't WB make more $ off the featureless BD version of 300 than its HD DVD "feature rich" counterpart? Why is that?
They probably shouldn't get a DVD player since it plays music cds. You just want a movie player, right? Lame excuse is a lame excuse. Set the PS3 to Disc Auto Start and call it a day. You wouldn't even know it played games. Hell, no one knows it plays games now. ZING!
EDIT: From the man that compares Vipers and Civics to BD/HD DVD you have a problem with CD playback being thrown in the equation? Please. The added cost of something doesn't change the functionality you are lookin...
The drums are loud and obnoxious. They are also over-priced and pretty lame.
Meus:
How do you keep your composure and write such logical, thought provoking comments? I, for one, have strained in the past trying to do just that. I owned a 360, a Wii and currently own a PS3. 360 was unreliable so I got rid of it, Wii just wasn't a good fit for me (my daughter, yes) and the PS3 is, well, the PS3. I too support Blu-ray. Not because I own a PS3, but rather, because I owned HD DVD. Picture was nice, but the lack of content is why it is no longer in my house. BD offer...
Is it that big a deal? C'mon people.
Off topic: Uncharted Demo is up. Go grab it!
Nothings free. Your $54 (w/tax) XBL subscription paid for your "free" Yaris game.
EDIT: I guess you didn't pick up on the direct/indirect effects in my statement.
A 26% increase versus a 2% increase is significant. Like all R&C games, it will be a slow burn. The hardware is selling...well. he PS3's sales increases week after week, while the competition's increase is so minimal, it's laughable.
Correction: The 360 has sold 12, almost 13 million consoles without Japan. The worldwide numbers are not insurmountable.
