Take everything online related and scrap it. Don't use components of a broken online mode as a platform for debate. And really, meat shields and chainsaw duels wow'd you that much? New weapons are expected, executions add nothing to the game (same goes to for the Ghost camera) and the ability to shoot people through the chainsaw was in Gears 1! Unless of course you are talking about the ability to take shots while revving the chainsaw, which is a bug.
Sound to me like you are eas...
I have totally left Gear multiplayer alone. There just isn't the same desire to play online as there was with Gears (mainly because online in 2 is, as you know, awful). I completely agree with your thoughts on L4D. The concept is STELLAR. The execution...not so much.

Better mod tools have GOT to be available...
I hate it when people say MS stole Sony's exclusives. They were never Sony's, they were 3rd party's. When MS announces a God of War game, then they stole a Sony exclusive. Otherwise, they just funded the multiplatform development of PS2 exclusives on the 360. IMO, Sony was right in letting it happen. They focused on 1st party, something MS is sorely lacking, and now look...some of the most anticipated games of 09 are Sony 1st party exclusives, while the 360's most anticipated games are 3rd pa...
Mine were L4 and Gears 2. L4D is too light on content. Not saying it's not fun at times, but damn...short game is short. Gears 2 was Gears with new maps. While the Worm level was my favorite (and a nice change), too much of the game felt like been there, done that.
I love my Mac. I love my ipod touch. I love Mac OS. But I would not buy an apple gaming console.
Watch the scene with the rocket launcher and the bridge. Then go back and watch the E3 05 target render. GG has fully delivered.
Just be happy you have ANY build to play.
I hate manufactured "most anticipated" lists. MSNBC fails.
That's what happens when you play on Easy. Same in Uncharted. Same in Gears. Same in COD.
When did COD5 get released?
Thanks for the clarification blindfromthesun. Totally agree on the loading pauses, but the pop in is awful. And I definitely believe you are who you say you are. My reference was a failed attempt at a joke. Bubbles for remaining civil!
I have Mass Effect installed and it has done NOTHING for the texture pop in. That game is a technical mess. Let's at least be honest. Unless you really are blindfromthesun?
Listen. I can't take this anymore. I must get my hands on this game. Here's the plan: I just finished watching The A-Team and in this episode, there was an armored car heist that gave me an idea. If I can get just 3 more N4Gers to join in, we can heist a Best Buy, Gamestop or maybe even an armored car. I've got a black van with red accents, just glued a mowhawk to my head and have a badass feather earring to complement my blue jean vest. What was I talking about?
Hence, their creation of an engine designed for mulitplatform game creation. Good call!
How is this gaming related again?
MS can throw their money at all the exclusive demos they want. Although using those funds for full exclusive games may better serve them.
Kojima seems like the type of artist I would like to sit down and drink a vat of Yebisu Black with and just game. Talk games, play games, brainstorm games...and then go pickup some ass with the depth of Kojima's pockets. A guy can dream, can't he?
Reading his ideas on a zombie MMO has me hoping it becomes a reality. But would gamers accept the consequences of being turned? Having the character you've built up succumb to a zombie infection (if you're careless) wandering a living online world trying to feed on other players sounds...epic.
A new QA process?
