Some of the comments on Destructoid are kinda funny. The 360 crowd think Jaffe's nuts for not wanting the 360's install base. Yeah, how has that install base worked out for Ninja Theory lately? Jaffe might be the smartest guy in the room. The 360's last few car combat games didn't exactly move consoles, so what's the guarantee?
I disagree with the notion that games are too short and longer campaigns would keep people hooked longer because the fact is (and it is fact) that most people don't finish their games.

One of the things I don't get about this reviewer is why he mentions the soundtrack in the final breakdown, dinging the sound an 8 and saying "the less said the better".
A) It's a DRIVING sim not Rockband and...

Every side has hyped up games to no end at one time or another. Even Nintendo with Metroid Other M which garnered many less than favorable reviews. I've seen the XBox elite on here rag on KZ2 for 2 years, yet Halo Reach couldn't even top it on meta'. It's business as usual really.
These two sites aren't even on metacritic, so let's not get stupid here and act like miscellaneous blog #345 with all the credibility and reputation of my local high school newspaper is suddenly the barometer of professional critcriticism. They weren't even professional enough to honor the embargo.

This is an argument over nothing. Of course exclusives matter, unless all you play is COD all year in which case you probably don't read N4G anyway.
A good game is a good game and in my own collection my exclusives to multiplats ratio is 1:1. That's a lot of good exclusives.

You don't. Nothing me or my friends play look like the consistently too bright or too dark screens LoF and DF use. Nothing. EVERYTHING looks better on our 360s, PS3s and calibrated TVs.
They use component cables, don't take advantage of hardware features like HDMI RGB range, and who the heck knows how they calibrate their TVs since as I said, they always have the brightness too high (ie washed out) or too dark (which some people confuse with richer).

Plug in an HDMI cable and set RGB settings to full and adjust your TV brightness and voila...richer and deeper blacks. These types of sites never have settings the way anyone I know does. They're uniquely weird that way.
Because in 2006 Microsoft said HDMI was unnecessary and apparently it's still 2006. People will turn back time just to paint the 360 in a positive light (Brotherhood's gamma being better on component and worse on HDMI in this case). I haven't used component since 2007 ffs.
