Framerate feels smoother at times than others (like GOW3 and inFamous) but always decent, 'least while I played.
If it's an unlocked framerate it might explain the occasional tears, mostly in the first Normandy-on-fire cut scene. Saw a little tearing near the top few inches of my screen once and only once during actual gameplay as I looked up into a corner and moved the camera back and forth. It was during the 2nd half of the demo with the labs. No biggie.

It's absolutely true and it applies to BOTH consoles.
LOT has some of the WORST calibration out there which makes it hard to take what they say seriously. PS3 pics are often too bright which people then call washed out while 360 pics are often too dark which people then mistake as richer color.
They said the shadows were better on the 360 AC:Brotherhood copy but on one gauntlet they were so dark they crushed ALL the detail in the glove, while the PS3 pi...
All this pixel counting, has anyone stopped long enough to notice the demo was boring as sin? My gawd. Half the gameplay is just choosing what to say, lol. Holstering your gun with select is gay, no gun quick swap, sluggish cover system. What's so great about it? The Dead Space 2 demo DESTROYS Mass Effect 2. I was surprised given the hype.
@Graphics
They'd expect you to know the demo has its own brightness calibration logo in the options menu. Use it. Anyone saying it's too bright is a newb. Learn to calibrate. If you have HDMI, throw it on RGB Full Range and tweak it to a test pattern. Problem solved. Someone tell Lens of truth to start making comparisons with some Lens of common sense. If the hardware has a feature that makes the picture deeper & richer if your TV supports it, then do it up.
Wow! That demo looked really good! Hope that's the demo PSN gets, if they do release a public demo. The KZ2 demo was too short and one-note. This one looks like sex!
GOW is always great for bosses. Hercules, Poseidon, Cronos, Hermes, Helios...all completely different experiences. Substance over style. Game let you wind up and cut Hermes' leg off when YOU were ready, let you punch Zeus in the face until YOU had enough. Flashing lights and nonsensical combos need not apply.
Bayonetta FTL
Most games are 8 VS 8 anyways, maybe 16 VS 16 max. Throw in auto matchmaking and you have full lobbies regardless. One million people online together means nothing except more lag on P2P servers. Wow, joy.
4.9 and 4.1 hours a WEEK playing games on the 360 and PS3?!
What the...I do that in one day off!
Love achievements and trophies.
What SUCKS though are online ones that require you to put in 30+ hours worth of playing their crappy and/or broken multiplayer (007 Bloodstone, AC Brotherhood, Transformers, FC2 etc) if you want that 100%.
I platinumed AC2, will never platinum AC Brotherhood because there's no way I will ever torture myself that much just to get to level 50. There's simply better games to spend my time on than waiting in dead lobbies. B...
You must be new here turok if you don't know how Don Reisinger has been trolling the PS3 since day one. It does get kind of annoying after a few years.
It IS nitpicking. We already know there's a jungle level, a space level & a snow level so that's more variety already. This guy is worrying about nothing.
Why do these reviewers never hold other FPS's to the same expectations? You never see "hope there's not another middle east level, or russian level" in COD. They're gimmes. Both MW2 and BC2 had the Russians invading the US (for probably the 100th time since the Cold War) yet no reviews or p...
@ DevilishSix
Shattering your "fact" in 3...2...1.
I'll take the worst GOW has to offer over the "best"...whatever that is...of Bayonetta anyday. You say GOW has no replay value. Bayonetta doesn't even have ONE PLAY value. I couldn't bring myself to finish that trash. I think gawking at her swinging her butt like a grandfather clock when she walks has hypnotized some people, lol.
Sure it's up for discussion, especially if you're over 12. I played it and won't be caught dead playing it again.
Lets review: a Sarah Palin doppelganger who farts butterflies when she jumps, has a stripper pole attack, barbie hair o' doom and brings down hooker boots from the sky. Read that and let it sink in. GOW3 puts the chains to it.
I just love how they're all kissing butt for an entry level $11.00 an hour thankless job that any student can get :D. I couldn't keep my mouth shut on that show. I'd be like "the guy that made PAIN, the biggest 2 cent 'nickel & dimer' on PSN, is judging ME?!?! #*% off!" lol ;)
Plus the host looks like Meryl Silverburgh from Metal Gear. Mmmmm. Meryl host. :p
Are you insinuating that Sony is monopolizing third party studios? No one stopped Insomniac or Ninja Theory from going multiplat' you know.
Do you mean buying the 20 man Media Molecule who have only ever made one game in their history that was also a PS3 exclusive? Lets not get silly here. That's not exactly the same as the Squeenix merger or Bungie going to Activision for 10 years. Giving 30 man rookie teams that nobody heard of before their first and second jobs i...
Captain Price? Wtf. Might as well be Captain Picard lol. What a dumb charachter for Mortal Kombat.
@Clizzz
Ya, because 360 diehards have never trolled about GT5, BluRay, PSN, Other OS, NPD or multiplats in general. Nope. ;)
@Keith
I doubt they even played Heavy Rain with a broad statement like that. I enjoyed Alan Wake, but fighting ghosts with flashlights and shotguns isn't exactly more mature than a father playing cat and mouse with a serial killer who's playing cat and mouse with himself as young boys are drowned or drowning all around them.
They mention the Move lineup (which is at least backwards compatible with games like RE5, Heavy Rain, MAG, even Pain and HVB) but not the Kinect lineup? Why are they protecting them? Be fair, at least.
