FF became legendary, partially because of it's ATB/turn-based gameplay. It was a different type of gameplay, not an outdated one. I can't figure out why this idea of turn-based is considered "outdated" or "unpopular". The best selling FFs are all some manner of turn-based. And outdated??? PPSSPP is arguably the best emulator out there. Really amazing how good it is.

And boycotting isn't due to a different launcher. It's the anti-consumer tactics that Epic does. With Steam, there's a whole community, forums, support that comes with buying a game there. Epic has nothing, is run by a sketchy Chinese company that's been proven to steal data, inconsistent connectivity and horrible support.
Agreed. 15 is the only FF I've never beaten. And I'm talking every single, even back to Japanese NES, FF.
I loved the PS series. But greater than Final Fantasy? Not even close. Hell, PS wasn't even the best RPG series on Genesis, that goes to Shining Force.

Sweet to hear. Game was an absolute joy. Just shows, there's still a large demand for traditional JRPGs. The key is actually making a good one. This one was excellent.
I'm holding off to see the port quality. SE's been hit or miss, but definitely improved recently.
I really liked the idea but it was the most uncomfortable controller I've ever used. It's ergonomically horrible! My thumb knuckles were burning in less a hour each time I tried it. Been gaming whole life and never had to put a controller down due to comfort. Too bad. Oh, and the configuring UI sucked.

Shining Force 3!!! All 3 scenarios, English translation, with cleaned up visuals. Nothing crazy. It's a shame so many have never had the opportunity to play it. Oh, and Panzer Dragoon Saga, too.
Not a single Final Fantasy/Chrono game on this list makes it worthless.
While I can't speak for consoles, if they're not improved, hopefully the new ESRGAN background mod for the game can be quickly modded to PC release. But it'd be rather pathetic (and unsurprising) of SE to call it a Remaster and not improve them. Everyone deserves them, not just PC.
