No party members, no buy. They've abandoned enough of what made this franchise great.
Any Nobuo Uematsu scored game.
Obviously, since it works great for you it must also work great for everyone else. /s
He fell on his fookin' arrrse!
Thank you! So many Master Racers forget this. I was a watchmaker for 3 years and have done extensive work on cars; I know how to put things together. But my first time building a PC was still unnerving. There is nothing wrong with buying a prebuilt. Sometimes people just want to plug and play, not fiddle.
Don't get me wrong, building a PC is a fun and rewarding process- it's just not for everyone.
Can't tell if satire or pathetic gatekeeping...
I don't think people got your joke...
Lunar, baby. Gimme both Silver Star and Eternal Blue!
Lighten up, Francis.
Now that's a name I've not heard in a long, long time.
"especially if you have the thing for more than just gaming. " People always skip this in the PC argument. PCs are for friggin everything: internet, school, work, movies, music, programming, many apps and processes that can't be used on phone/tablets, etc., etc. etc.
A gaming PC, for most, is a used everyday tool, not just a game machine.
Unfortunately that movie almost killed Squaresoft, hence the reason to merge with Enix. Can only imagine (and cry about) some of the great games we missed out thanks to that movie.
Like you, I love RPGs. Like you, I didn't care for the first game, even with 3 tries. BUT the second game, that one I love. The story and writing are still meh, but the gameplay and world are much more enjoyable. It feels more focused, better balanced and cohesive and rarely a slog (there is one location that can).
Even if you didn't like the first game, give Divinity OS2 a try. I was amazed how much I enjoyed it.
Old-school FFs had some of the best sidequests! From awesome gear, powerful spells and the most difficult battles. Many included character story, background or lore. The new games just use boring filler.
Chrono Trigger! DQ11 already has the perfect engine for it. Akira Toriyama's artwork translates to modern tech perfectly, as already seen. And it has the name recognition to sell.
Mass murder, blood, guts, genocide- OK. Some naked people doing naked things that all (hopefully) do- oooohh, bad, bad, bad. Won't someone please think of the children????
Yes, turn-based is so outdated... just like Persona 5, Dragon Quest 11, Octopath Traveler. And all these turn-based strategy games, like X-COM and Fire Emblem. Those are all doing terrible and have such poor reviews by critics and players alike!
You know, chess is outdated. I mean I have to wait for the other player to take a turn, then only ONE of my units can move per turn. Geez, now that I have analog sticks, I should be able to move all my pieces all the time.
And stinki...

Of course you're thumbed down. "Emulation is piracy, illegal, blah blah blah." Emulation is wonderful. The hacks and increased resolution really improve the games. Just buy the games damn cheap and dump em to your hard drive if you're so concerned with 'piracy'.
For real. Nomura has tanked the franchise.
