I can see EA going into PMS mode over this, but Activision probably doesn't care too much. They haven't implemented any sort of online pass system on CoD unlike EA or even Sony.
Oh Yoshida you're such a troll
Those were all because of the new technologies offering superior experiences to the former as well as making things more convenient. Smartphones will provide neither of these things until they can get anywhere near the core games that are available on consoles/PC and gain the ability to easily allow up to 8 players with different controllers to play from a single device. Besides, its not just a case of smart phones becoming as powerful as current gen consoles, if developers don't fully ut...
How many times are people going to raise this ridiculous point?
They. Are. Different. Markets.
I thought there was a chance of publishers withdrawing support too, but honestly, they have far more to lose from doing such a thing than Sony, especially if Sony threatens to revoke their PS3 publishing rights.
UC GA is amazing but I wouldn't say its better than UC3 by any means. AC liberation and Persona Golden are also excellent.
How about no?
Also, in what way are they the market leaders? They're in third place in console sales.
When you make a comparison, it usually involves two different games on a similar level. It's pretty clear who the winner is here...
Tbh, I can see publishers like EA and Activision twisting Sony's arm and threatening to make their biggest franchises exclusive to X1. In which scenario I don't see how Sony could not give in. Think we should direct our anger more towards the publishers rather than towards MS/Sony.
They're not exactly liars, they're planning on forcing a connection every 24 hours or so rather than all the time. They do have a career waiting for them in politics though...
Firstly, how do I know that a developer is worth supporting? Why would I want to risk paying a certain amount for a game that I won't end up liking? People would be much more willing to take the risk if the prices are lower thanks to used games and they have the option of selling it again if they don't like it. There are no lost sales there if people wouldn't have been willing to pay the full amount in the absence of used games.
Secondly, since people are more wil...
Without a used game market people will be buying less games. They will be buying less DLC and less sequels new. Just because someone is willing to pay £15 for a used game doesn't mean that they'll be willing to pay £30 if their only option is buying it new. This could bring in the benefit of publishers lowering their prices, but I can easily see that not being the case with publishers like Activision and EA walking around. This is a system which will fail as it puts the publ...
Funny how banning pre-owned games and the X1 requiring internet did not crop up...
Ok I'm confused. Is this a case of Microsoft preventing people giving disks to multiple people and having them download the content onto their xbox for free, or is this a case of people actually having to pay a fee even if they don't download the game and just play it straight from the disk? Microsoft haven't been very clear at all.
I take that back. Way to RPG yourself in the foot.
EA and Microsoft are made for each other.
Way to shoot yourself in the foot. This will turn off many gamers indeed.
Lack of an adequate response can be highly indicative of certain conclusions even if it isn't a certainty. The conclusion in this case is that yes, they are introducing a fee system for used games, he would otherwise have had no reason to try to avoid answering directly.
Stupid name. I can see your average consumer thinking of this as an inferior Xbox 360 rather than the next gen system, similar to how people thought Nintendo released a gamepad rather than a console. Why couldn't they have just stuck with Xbox Infinity.
