Woah, I just thinking about playing devil's advocate myself since my friends have been crazy about Titanfall lately; and to be honest, I too have been impressed... mostly.
My argument would be against the fast kill gameplay flow. I would favor shielded soldiers that do not die with just a coupe of bullets. I mean it would be difficult to adjust that; but think about earning kills with skill and grace instead of just a quick gib or auto headshot.

In all honesty, I think the problem is more about the age of the players than anything else. That plus the whole thing of 30 being the new 20 adds up more to the fray.

Silent Hill 2 is the epitome of the horror genre.
Subtle, surreal, and disturbing.
You see, SH's most terrifyingly juicy secrets lie not in the great gameplay or the superb cutscenes ; but in the detailed significances behind all that is presented to you.
Once you have this experience you will bond with this game for life. How one can deeply love such darkened tale is crazy in and of itself.

I kept an open mind, and enjoyed most of DmC.
But the truth is that was not what people wanted.
I disliked DMC4, despite the awesome gameplay mechanics, I was very disappointed with the game in general; specially with Dante's character. It was bland, generic, and plain out cheesy. Reboot Dante was better approached, IMO.
I just hope good stuff comes out of this, Capcom should just fucking call Platinum Games already, although I doubt Kamiya would...
