PS1 is different. its emulator can be configured to play on PS4. hence thats why we only have full PS1 BC on the PS3 as it stands.
think about it like this, if the Vita can play your PS1 games, so can the PS4.
but of course the games must be repackaged and recertified to allow it to play on the console.
im hoping that sony nor nintendo go this route.
thats what was said at E3 2009, then E3 2010, then E3 2011, and E3 2012.
Im still waiting.
as if EA will allow exclusivity.....
but thats the thing. those games are not compatible to the Xbox one as it stands, so they wont appear on the Xbox One store.
this is still a terrible idea in my opinion, and we see why Indie devs are jumping ship to Playstation/Nintendo. putting a AAA title on the same storefront as an indie title means, people will take precedence in buy that AAA title over the indie game, instead of the indie game taking recognition as what someone on this thread stated.
just goes to show you the power of the PS3 in the right hands.
sounds way too gimmicky
i think this is bad for indie developers. just because we wont be able to see whats at their storefront, they would be completely overshadowed by the big devs.
Lawl
360 at 99 dollars , like the rumors state?
esquire?? isnt this the bastardization of the G4 network?
possibly the best thing to have come out of this reveal aside from the controller, even though it could be intrusive.
the way they're spinning this is really stupid. just say that the reason why there is no BC is because its switching system architectures which would benefit developers (espcially those who port their PC games to console) in the long run.
not because its "not Cool"
I mean, Sony admitted it and was straight with fans just like that.
the funny thing about this is, that the system is also easier to develop for. so that means no inferior multiplats. Sony really learned their lesson.
"Sony's going to be thinking 'what shall we do for the next ten years?'"
umm, the same thing they've been doing for the last 7 years and will do so with the remaining 3 years of the PS3's 10 year plan, coming out with more games...you know, the reason why you buy a console to begin with...
Yea, you said gaming. What's the one doing....tv...... Not gaming. If anything, being able to play someone else's game Changes how we play games, not watching espn with fantasy league stats on the side. Very lame.......
At the end of the day, e3 is round the corner, that week will give us an idea what Microsoft's and Sonys vision really is....
Apparently 3 operating systems are running at the same time on the Xbox one, the game system os, windows 8, and kinect. 1 gb each. So the system is locking 3gbsmjust for these things. Pretty much as what the rumors has stated.
Most likely video sharing. My question is will it have a dedicated chip to do this, or will it just run on the main processor, cause if so, that's....well not good at all, compared to Sonys solution.
Then again, I forgot that this is a DVR box as well for tv viewing -_-
well, the fact that superdae didnt have a good day when authorities were knocking on his door, pretty much confirmed all of this.
Wait..... Give me a damn break. Their focus is on the soccer mom and the 40 year old who watches cable. When you reveal a console, your suppose to give a damn good impression to the gamer on what the console can do. After all that's the Main demographic Of the playstation and the Xbox. The gamer. You know guys like you and me who make that line on launch day to get
These consoles. Or whAt. You expect ms. Jane doe, a 40 year old mom or grandpa to make this line just so that he c...
