Not that this is a biased question, but who watches cable these days? My assumption is that a majority of gamers (core gamers) watch their content online over cable these days.

the wii u gamepad identically does what the vita is going to get, its video and controller input/output will get streamed via wifi. both use wireless-n to stream. both have different tools though on how to compress that video and control inputs to stream. Sony is using Gaikai's tools to do all the streaming from PS4>vita,

PS4 has done its job for the Vita, now cut the price of the vita and its memory cards, and it will fly off the shelves.
yea..they know it so much, that they're flocking to the PS4....
fact is, their competitor are making things simple and easy for indies and microsoft needs to counter that.

Next gen consoles gave them the tools.... They used the same engine....again....
at the end of the day, this is bethesda we're talking about, the same guys that make glitchfest RPGs such fallout and skyrim.... they've gotten 2 platforms which should be relatively easy to develop for, especially Sony, they immensely dropped the learning curve of the system from 90 to 1. No excuses....
it was obvious from the start that 3rd party companies are going to look at both consoles as equals.. they will always target towards the lowest commmon denominator, and thats ok. both machines have a similar architecture, one wont look inferior to the other.

And that's why this whole used game controversy is bad for gaming. Digital content soley owned by one company can take an old game and charge it beyond what it's suppose to be worth.
those first party companies learned the PS3's architecture. with all the experience, the transition to PS4 is going to be a breeze for them.
well, they call it xbox one for a reason. it has to play blu-ray movies. or else it defeats the purpose of the name....
