The only time you would really need above 4-6Gb of RAM is if you do a lot of rendering in like Unreal Development Kit, mainly thinking of Lightning rendering here, or for videos etc. Didn't work very well at the university with their 4Gb of ram and ATI Radeon 3800 series graphicscard :P Not saying that more than 4Gb is useless in other areas though. RAM warranty normally last for a long time so its something that is easily upgraded :)
If you want games fast, then go with the Move. It is much easier to implement in old titles and new ones than Kinect, And this has been said by numerous developers. BUT this doesn't mean that Kinect is a bad device.
They just said that they expect their device to sell overtime instead of millions at the release.
And what if families with more than 2 young kids wants to buy Kinect? Should they buy two then? If you have any experience with children you know how they can fight over who should play. Then they would have to pay at least $300 if they already own an Xbox.
If they do not own either a ps3 nor an Xbox, both alternatives get kinda pricey ofc.
It is more like 3 weeks, at least here in Europe, and more like 2,5 months til Kinect release. But these numbers don't mean that much, but could be indicating something. Casual players that doesn't own either a ps3 or an Xbox 360 aren't likely to pre-order something like this. At least I don't think so. I think that they are more likely to buy something like this after seeing reviews etc of the products.
At least so far, just checked Amazon.com, The ps3 Move bundle is at #92 in Video Games and the Xbox Kinect Bundle is at #250.
The Move bundle (no console) is at #46 in Videogames and the Kinect (no console) is at #63.

Well If anyone has a problem with waiting for an install to complete, you should probably go see a psychiatrist. If your need to game is so intense that you get frustrated and annoyed just because you have to wait a little, then again, go see a psychiatrist.
Don't ya all know that the other consoles are banned in China? If they launch this in China it will be a success there ofc. I strongly believe that this is only intended for the Chinese market.
Well considering that the other consoles are banned from the Chinese market, why shouldn't they launch a console of their own? :P
And whats even greater about the Move is that its the first generation of it and it is already capable of epic stuff :)

Yeah precisely. I do see some games being fun on rails, like score-games where you aim for a score as high as possible, but that is the only thing that I can see as being fun on rails.

Another thing that speaks against Kinect is the fact that it launches nearly 2 months after Play-station Move. Sony will, undoubtedly, lower the price on their bundle and the controller itself by the time Kinect is released.
