You can indeed play music on a cd-r too. It was one of the main advertised features.
No disrespect here but yeah i know you can play cdr's but im saying that you cant take music from the cdr and use it to make music for your custom soundtrack that you cannot do you can only use store bought cd's. Yes you can play cd's but the custom soundtrack for ingame playback will not take cdr's.

You know its a funny thing, we all used to love the madden franchise so much but yet, each year its essentially the same game. Now when Espn 2k4 and Espn 2k5 came out those games were far better than madden (in my opinion) and it was like fresh air to a style genre, it was very interactive and addictive. Personally, i love my 360 but i have like 10 games for the ps2 that i would love to play through out the years and so there for i'll hold on to my ps2, and there is time my ps2 breaks or anything and i cant find a replace ment meaning ps2's get pulled it'll be nice to know that the ps3 can run them. My 360 is in my room secured and i'll have the ps2 in the basement fam room so if company wanted to play they can.

By the way ingame music playback is brilliant, along with hi def graphics, precision wireless controller with vibration and xbox live. Beats a betamax player with no ingame music and no rumble anyday.
