That one wasn't for gaming. Pretty clear about that.

This is Unity, not Flash.

... This is a mid-to-high-end build geared for the hardware enthusiast. If I wanted to build a machine that'd compete on the same level as the PS4, I could do it for $700.

Leakage isn't generally an issue with CLCs... they're factory-sealed and tested, so you're safe on that front.

As for OC'ing -- if you don't want a proper custom/open loop cooling solution, CLCs make a good mid-point for high OCs. Air coolers actually perform almost as well as liquid for the sub-4.8GHz range, so there's not much point in buying liquid if you're below 4.8GHz (and the right air setup will be fairly quiet, too). If you're going 4....

It keeps the silicon cooler, which gives you more room for high OCs at higher voltages. An aftermarket heatsink is always a good idea -- the lifespan of the die is threatened by the inefficiency stock/box coolers when under load.

I don't understand the premise of this blogspam. This is a non-linear comparison, no conclusion can be drawn.

You need to work on that punctuation diversification.

Yes... "US history lessons..."

Your statement that "most men will think sexy and most women will think over-sexualized" is part of the problem. Most reasonable humans will have a reasonable reaction. Their sex should not matter.

I provided a source for that first statement. APUs make up 75% of AMD's total CPU sales. I'd call that fairly impacting. Though I do appreciate your ability to take quotes out-of-context and not provide the full sentence. Clearly you're not trying to shape things artificially in your favor.

I would call them expected. The x86 architecture and increased memory bandwidth / FPU data-path is promising for PC gaming, though, if only because it more closely resembles a traditional desktop, so ported games should run with a bit more finesse.

Of course they reserve that right. They reserve the right to ban anyone, period - just like any other online service. You could say "EA reserves the right to ban testers for not playing their game" and you'd be correct. This is not news.

Skyrim mod.

Generally you lap the CPU, but the performance gain is marginal and it tends to void the warranty. If you're the type of person who needs every single degree for some serious OC project, then it might be worth it... otherwise, not really.

That's what the combo worked with. The quality is excellent and you won't find a similarly high-quality PSU for less wattage. You also want to run at 60% load on the PSU to allow for maximum efficiency.

Cute.

This is incorrect. AMD is horrible at singlethreaded and dual-threaded application handling. Read the Anandtech review of Vishera.

Yeah, we need AMD. They're still good for some things, they're just not the powerhouse that they were when the Athlon64 hit the market.

AMD still has its place in the world. We need competition for Intel to ensure consumers don't get screwed.

This is patently false. AMD's 8350 barely performs better than the i3-3225 -- this is because the Piledriver chips cannot handle singlethreaded applications efficiently, and are only at peak efficiency when running all 8-cores heavily. Watching movies won't stress the video chip to a point where the differences are relevant; AMD and Intel are both going to play movies equally well.

Now... AMD's Trinity APUs do have better performing graphics capabilities than Inte...

Thanks for posting my video! The game is looking really good -- it's exciting, but at the same time, I'm cautiously optimistic.
