@wonderfulmonkeyman
I more or less agree with you on Pokémon (although, at what point did tons of spin-offs become less related to milking than making many fully fledged games?)
They Pokémon franchise is owned and operated by Nintendo. They can do what it what they want. They could give it to someone else than Game Freak, if they wanted, and here are the facts:
Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, release 2014
X and Y, 2013
Black ...
Do we have to believe in the subject matter to create movies about it? We make movies about trolls, ghosts, nordic, greek and roman mythology all the time, often to great result. Do the directors believe in any of that?
I'm an atheist/agnostic, but I thought The Prince of Egypt was a spectacular, brilliant movie. I've always found the stories of Jesus and Moses to be fascinating, even if I don't believe in them.
It seems completely illogical to me...
So imagine that you got convicted to death and had your sentence reaffirmed but thousands of people. Then you were whipped and had to carry the device that's going to kill you for miles. Then you got tortured and died on the cross.
And then 2000 years later some person on a website insults you by saying that you can't handle a video game being made about you. That would just be the final insult to me.
Give this guy a video game, already.
It is very necessary. Not since Super Mario Galaxy 2 has a game been this necessary.
Maybe remastering this story will finally put some pressure on God to release The Bible 2. Hopefully on next-gen.
Pokémon is a good point, though! That's absolutely an annual franchise that sees incremental change from installment to installment.
One of my favorite franchises, but still annual.
@All_Consoles
Yeah, they're new games, but neither Bayonetta 2 (hint: "2") or Xenoblade are new franchises. I appreciate that they're doing something new with Splatoon, though. It's been ages since they actually developed a new franchise (dis...
Hi! What you just said isn't "Sony fanboys" as much as "fanboys".
I have never known fanboys to accept rivaling points of views.
I have a lot of faith in Cuphead. I'm glad Xbox is leaving the image of a shooter/racer console, like the original Xbox and at times 360 had. The broader, the better I think.
Not sure if I like product placement in FF games. A fantasy game based on reality shouldn't translate into "Final Fantasy brought to you by Pepsi". I was better off not knowing this.
That must mean the whole game is like that!

Ha! A great tribute to The Unfinished Swan, indeed.
That actually looks pretty awesome
Given how good it looks, I simply don't understand how it runs smoothly on my PC. Add to that that it's made in Unity (meaning that it's written in C# or/and Javascript), giving the developer less room to optimize the game. These are some crazy talented people.
@dboyman
Well, delays kind of was the Driveclub issue. Delayed game, delayed content, delayed server updates, delayed PS Plus version.
Let's be honest. At this point, Persona 5 is exclusive. I mean, has anyone even seen the PS3 version of LittleBigPlanet 3 or the 360 version of Horizon 2?
All I know is those versions weren't interesting. And the games are basically exclusive to their next gen platforms.
Uncharted is set for spring 2016 now, so there might be more titles coming to that party.
Fun fact: According to Metacritic, Vita had more games than 3DS in 2014, and they were on average higher rated.
That being said, most of them were re-releases and remakes. I wish Sony could've kept at least one western studio working on Vita.
I'm kinda thinking the same thing. I wish some site would look thoroughly into his record. Pretty sure he's been wrong quite often.
Anyway, if he isn't wrong, I'm hoping for Jak 4. Naughty Dog has hinted that it isn't happening, but I will always hope.
Eff Yeah. The Order deserves every sold copy. Hope will people will weigh up for the lukewarm reception among critics.
The Order was mind blowing.
I do think this generation is going to peak earlier, though. PS3 was a 599$ heap of impossible architecture. PS4 is more affordable and more traditional.
*More or less agree with you on Mario. Obviously I don't agree on Pokémon.
Looking back that comment had a lot of nonsensical mistakes. One day I'll start proofreading my own comments. One day.
