The enemy AI in FEAR (part 1 is superior to part 2) is by far the most superior AI I have experienced thus far. In playing that particular video game, I experienced one out of only a few times in my gaming life that I was impressed, and pleasantly surprised at the difficulty and intelligence that the AI displayed. From flanking positions, to falling back, calling in re-enforcements, and rushing my position, FEAR is in a class of its own (on Hard mode of course lol)

As there are currently several far superior FPS games out there that surpass it in many ways. But I would call it an "Experience" in the classic and reliable FPS format of point, shoot, advance, repeat. When I purchased my copy yesterday I really was hoping for more innovation in gameplay, enemy AI, etc but sadly this is not the case. Again as I stated before the one saving feature of KZ2 is its above average lighting effects, but this does not make up for poor textures, abysmal voc...
all the way from the extremely low 7's to 10 out of 10's I simply dont know what to think of KZ2. I honestly prefer a more consistent average rating before deciding to spend my hard earned money on a video game, and KZ2 is the epitome of inconsistent as it currently stands
If ps3 ever truly hopes to compete with the Xbox360 Video Gaming console in regards to sales then they most certainly should lower their price point. Until this happens they will never be able to overtake the Xbox360 Video Game Console's huge Lead it currently has. Its simple business tactics, and yet Sony seems to be content with their higher price point.
however saying that it is "Only possible" on the ps3 is a joke and we all know it. With all of its money, effort, and most of all TIME, any game can be just as "pretty" as this one. It is comparable to Alan Wake being "only possible" on the Xbox360 Video Gaming Console, which has taken just as long to develop, but will undoubtedly graphically surpass even the great KZ2 when released.

Halo 3 is at a 94 based off of 86 reviews
and at a 7.2 based off of 1948 User votes
So if you use metacritic strictly for an informative overall average then its fine, but if you simply base your purchase off of reviews then you are not a true gamer
The Great and much anticipated Killzone 2 in any way shape or form.....Every video game fan to date believes that this game is as close to perfection as possible "evar". Didnt this website platformnation.com get the recently discovered memo that it has in fact been confirmed that KZ2 is now considered the Second coming of Christ himself ...sheesh
the rumors that the ps3 Version of SF4 is inferior in its visual quality as being "sub-HD" as its being called? I believe all ps3 reviews of SF4 should take this into consideration, and deduct points accordingly if this is in fact the truth. I am not trying to bash, merely wondering as this could affect whether I purchase the ps3 or Xbox360 Video Game Console version of this game.
I will not hold back my true gamers opinion just to follow the sheep herd like so many others. Im just not seeing the "Jaw Dropping" Jaffe Promised visuals that I was lead to believe this game was capable of. It is by no means a horrible looking game, but a Game of this much anticipation and caliber, deserve Much better graphics than this
and can recognize when a game like Killzone 2 is not all its cracked up to be...and Jager, how can you claim that I am a BOT and hugging the EDGE review, when isnt it you "Strictly PS3" owners who are praising Killzone 2 as if it were the second coming of Christ??? When it is substandard in every way? You guys sure have a lot to say about me, but Most importantly you all have absolutely nothing to say as of yet that proves me wrong about Killone 2's mediocrity....
I believe EDGE's Review and final score of a 7 was justified for this game, as it simply falls short in too many areas aside from graphics, to award it anything higher than a 7. It almost seems that the reviewers all "Gave it a pass due to graphical prowess", and when an actual reviewer like EDGE saw through this "Smoke-Screen of pretiness" and based their review on actual factors that should determine the score of a game ie; Gameplay, Storyline, Controls, Fun Factor, etc,...
So please do enlighten me as to what exactly was supposed to make my jaw drop to the floor and "Wow" me about the Killzone 2 demo? It just fell short in so many ways and I am not simply just claiming that it disappointed me in everyway just to say it, but its the truth whether you like it or not. The AI was substandard (better all around AI in F.E.A.R, just the flanking abilities and positioning alone). The Facial Animations were borderline terrible (All the money spent on the game ...
after being all around letdown by the Killzone 2 demo (maybe my hopes were too high. but it did not impress me At All) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is sure to innovate in all the ways that Killzone 2 was supposed to, but failed too
However thats about where it stopped, and from my short experience with it, I was left far from impressed. my sentiment was exactly that of Edge, in that this game really is pretty standard (gameplay mechanics, story line, etc..) and does nothing to innovate the FPS genre. I truly hope that the full retail version of this game can sway my opinion, but as it stands now, I believe around a 70/100 is pretty deserved of this game, unless by some miracle the remaining levels are completely differe...
However I seem to remember LBP getting "Rave" Reviews (Just as Killzone 2 currently has) and selling Extremely poorly, lets just hope history does not repeat itself with this next playstation exclusive, ...Hype and Reviews can not sell Games on their own...its up to the owners of the ps3's to buy them (or at least thats what they are supposed to do because they have yet to do so)
Sony has adamantly proved this Gen Numerous times(and I do mean Numerous)...that hype and anticipation alone cant sell their Exclusives in any way, shape, or form. I almost get a Deja Vu feeling when I see KillZone 2's release approaching (i.e. LBP, Haze, Lair, MGS4, Uncharted, MotorStorm etc..), simply put Sony; you can have all the games in the world, but it serves no purpose if your console owners REFUSE to buy your Exclusive games and support you with Sales figures, and not just "Son...
Mediocre at best. Personally, I was highly looking forward to its release for what seemed like ages, and was immensely let down with the final product that I purchased(and returned). I suppose that I may have had my hopes up to high in its anticipation, but I suppose you live and learn. The old saying that says it best is to each their own I suppose, because it seems almost as if the game I played, and the one the websites are reviewing are 2 completely different video games.
