For my overall entertainment and gaming needs I will for certain be placing a pre order for the Xbox One console as it completely encompasses everything I require. Possibly a ps4 at a later time, as I simply can not resist playing a few of their more enjoyable exclusives from time to time. While I can justify paying for the reliable Xbox Live service, I refuse to be tied into the new restrictive policy of PS+ being required for online gaming services, especially seeing as how it was previousl...
I realize that the main stipulation many gamers were demanding from Microsoft was simply a focus on the video game aspect of the Xbox One. The general consensus around the gaming community is an overwhelming sense that they accomplished this and more, swiftly debunking the "gloom and doom" talks. I for one walk away from Microsofts E3 presentation pleasantly impressed with all aspects of it as a whole. Not only did they reveal countless fantastic exclusives that will have all gamers...
I apologize in advance for my repost of my previous comment, however I feel it holds great validity and was not responded to nor answered by any of my fellow gamers.

I find myself confused as to the true feelings and motivations of the current dedicated gamer. For countless years I have heard repeatedly from avid gamers about how much they love the developers that bring them such huge and entertaining titles year after year. And how if you are a true gamer you would adamantly support them with your hard earned dollars and buy the game new. Even going so far as to condemn those who would dare to pirate a copy, and essentially steal money out of their pocke...
I predict Microsoft has once again set themselves up to take another E3 by storm, impressing the crowds with not only its multitude of games, but the incredible features of the Xbox One gaming console. While many "biased" gamers claim to see a doom and gloom scenario for the highly successful Microsoft, I envision something different. A scenario where Microsoft has managed to clearly see the current trend of the gaming marketplace. In the simplest terms I can state, every consumer w...

I for One can tell you that I am ecstatic for the revelation of the Xbox One Gaming Console. This truly is the beginning of a next generation gaming experience in terms of not just graphical prowess, but Microsoft's ability to merge all the necessary components to create a true home entertainment experience. Simply put Microsoft has found the ability to both cater to its fundamental "Hard Core" audience with this huge leap in processing power/overall specifications, while giving...
In the most rudimentary words I can conjure, Financially and from a purely business oriented standpoint, No it's far from wrong. Actually it's very right in terms of profit. However, if one were to look at it from a longtime fans perspective, who has vested deep into the series not just with previous time and money, but more in terms of being emotionally connected resulting in an entitled heir of free content,..then Yes it is wrong. Simple
It may not be a popular current thought for many to accept or confront, but there is much concern to be had over the Vitas long term success. The main reason for this directly relates to the critical failure that was the PSP Go. It can be difficult to re instill confidence back into potential customers once they are essentially let down and disappointed prior. Clearly Sony has high hopes for the Vita, and appears to be committed to actually supporting it unlike its past handheld iterations. R...
To be quite honest I have been a fan of this particular series from the original iteration to the later Twisted Metal Black. In particular my favorite character was Mr. Slam due to his overpowered special attack. However, this whole recent debacle of David Jaffe to essentially steal the entire spotlight from the TM release by choosing this time to leave ESP has irritated me beyond belief. He has done this exact same thing to previous studios and franchises, which brings up several concerns. I...
This is commendable, as any further deviations of utilizing conflicting brand names or service names can always run the risk of further confusing the potential consumers. Admittedly, this does not really affect current "hardcore" gamers, but newer more novice gamers could have been affected. A surprisingly smart move by Sony.
Realistically I am not so naive as to presume that XBoxLive has never been hacked...honestly there is no such thing as hack proof, fool proof or impregnable....given enough time, knowledge, and resources any code can be cracked....but you would be naive to not see the Clear advantage XBoxLive has over the PSN network in being more closed off and manageable...ladies and gentlemen this is Microsoft we're talking about here...they have years and years worth of hacking and general computer kno...
I for one anxiously await the return of my great free online capabilities of the playstation network which were promised to be included upon my initial purchase of a ps3...I plan on giving the Online portion of KZ3 another shot (invisible sniper with assault rifles irritated me)..truth be told, with all the reports of vital credit card information being accessed, and used maliciously, I will not be inputting my credit card information so trustingly onto Sonys (allegedly) private network agai...
I usually never bother to respond to the comment aftermath of my posts as it is usually riddled with childish name calling and other things I choose not to partake in.....however, my main argument still remains valid in that once you purchase a piece of electronic equipment it should actually be YOURS to own and do with as you please...whether that includes the simplest task of changing its color, to fully modifying it to your exact liking.....ownership of anything purchased with your own har...
Playstation....it only does....Threatening owners of its console with lawsuits, suing individuals into the ground, banning both innocent and guilty accounts alike, and forcing owners of its consoles into Exile .....let this be a lesson to anyone out there who actually believes that once you buy an electronic device, that you now OWN it, and are free to do with it as you please...WRONG.....apparently consumers are fine with this "buying but never actually owning" policy they have bee...
I must admit that although a score of 5 out of 10 may shock and surprise some certain fans of this franchise, we must respect their opinion and realize that they are just as much entitled to their own as we are.... Personally from my thorough play through of both the single player and multilayer campaign of this Killzone iteration, I would score it a 7 out of 10...possibly 7.5 if they can adjust the balancing issues with the sniper class and several other glaring issues...overall not an abysm...
Interesting.....judging by the amount of hype and critical acclaim here on N4G I would have naturally thought KZ3 or possibly LBP2 would hold that prestigious crown.... what with all the brave talk of boycotting anything COD, and being fed up with its formula...I suppose in this case your wallets spoke louder than your mouths
Judging by its current underwhelming sales of 500K units (which is far below its previous iteration) it would appear the answer is a solid..no...judging by the overall subpar MetaCritic score of 85..again the answer would appear to be a definitive..no...and judging from my personal hands on time with this iteration since purchasing it I would still have to say that it did not live up to the hype...the campaign is bland to say the least..and although I must say the multiplayer aspect is somewh...
Am I the only gamer here that notices the incredibly thick irony with this situation?...of all companies in the world to release a gaming console that strains your eyes and causes discomfort it had to be Nintendo?..seriously?.Apparent ly they have learned nothing from their past mistakes with the Virtual Boy...this is unacceptable in my eyes(no pun intended)...I suppose the name for the 3DS should be adjusted to the Virtual Boy 2(VB2)
What really disappointed me about playstation's conference was several things in no particular order. The lackluster presentation of first party exclusives was both surprising, and a blow to the vibe of their presentation as a whole. This is generally my main motivation to purchase a playstation console, but I find myself hesitant after that initial disappointment. Also, another negative that I found was the complete reversal of their long standing "free online" component. From ...
