Because it's not a heavily delayed PS3 game, a Remake of a PSOne game, or a sequel to Japanese based story/fighting game that requires 16 entries to tell the complete story.

Neither Shenmue or FF7 are exclusive games and they probably won't launch til 2017-2018. Shenmue definitely won't be around until 2018 as development hasn't even started. I don't know about you but I'd rather businesses not hype up stuff until we're within a year of launch.

The Xbox is already a PC, but the brand in general seems destined to be fully integrated as a platform under the Windows umbrella. With a console only approach Xbox can tap into as much as 100+ million gamers but with full integration with Windows 10 PCs it has the potential to reach hundreds of millions of gamers.

Just downloaded 5 of my own games that I previously bought digitally this morning.
I don't have to rebuy or rent games on an Xbox One. So my entire 100+ X360 game title library can be potentially be completely re downloaded and on top of that I can still play multiplayer....all natively!!! This is a dream come true.
Also nothing stops Microsoft from launching a 360 game app on Win10 PC.
I think Micrsosoft is indeed setting itself for the long game with its positioning and integration of Windows 10 and Xbox. They'll be able to tap into much larger user bases than they could dream of with just a console only approach. I think it depends on what you were looking for. I love nostalgic games like FF7, but considering I've beaten it over 5 times in not sure a remake that will appear on PC and possibly on Xbox One is all that big of a megaton. I'm sure others will strongly disagree, but I actually thought Final Fantasy 9 was the strongest and maybe least appreciated out of the PSOne era RPGS.
Shenmue was stunning for the Dreamcast era but it's gameplay hasn't held up that well....

You'll probably be buying it through the Windows/Xbox store on Windows 10. There are a lot of reasons to have both a Windows 10 PC and the Xbox One. They have great synergy and its increasing exponentially.
Don't be such a console fanboy. Xbox is going to be bigger than a box in your living room. It can be a platform to be played on from any Windows 10 device.
