Bow to the King!!!
Power hardware isn't so much the problem as is their relationship with 3rd party developers and inability to create a functional online ecosystem. It's been this way since GameCube. You might even say it's a problem they've had since some of the N64s life.
People think it wouldn't sell on Xbox but it will sell tons because it's one thousand times more popular than FF13, or any other FF in the series. No it's not the best but in a popularity contest it wins every single time. I'm still wondering why Sony felt the need to announce it at E3 if its multiplat.
He's got to at the very least be in Halo 6.
The problem honestly is that Bungie did a poor job explaining all the story in the games. You can't expect 343i to spend all its time explaining what should have been explained in Halo 1-3. There is also the issue that some of the story didn't even exist until it was retconned by Nylund and other authors.
Why do people think JRPGs are the answer? The real demand is mobile games not full blown console games. If Microsoft truly wants to make on roads in Asia they should focus on creating quality mobile games which they actually do make. free to play puzzlers, strategy, and action RPG mobile titles would seem more profitable than trying to push consoles in Japan and the rest of Asia.
I think Microsoft should honestly push more mobile on Asia. Consoles don't make a lick of sense.
Gaming has lost one of its greatest icons!!!
RIP Iwata-san
The Cell isn't impossible to emulate. You just need highly skilled and adept coders. Cell could probably be emulated entirely on a multi core CPI. The PS3 GPU was super weak.
Oh it's going to be so good....I cannot wait!!!
It's ff7 for crying out loud. Many Xbox gamers had the original play station.
What does this video have to do with FOV? Absolutely nothing. Nice troll attempt to try to knock Hololens. From all the demoed I've seen Hololens at least yet won't give you the 100 inch field of view but it'll give something about the size of a decently sized coffee table. I'm excited to see its applications in STEM, Medicine l, Simulation, and Gaming.
Rather they redoubled their efforts on Xbox mobile games. Microsoft actually has some pretty good mobile games. A dedicated portable makes zero sense.
Then they could really hammer out chia that reflect their focus on devices and services including gaming. Competitors could still license the tech. Just because Sony has some blu-ray patents didn't stop Microsoft from including a drive in the Xbox One. AMD has a lot of bright minds and the company could use a capital refresh to say the least.
@'jukins
Intel doesn't make great SoC and their graphics tech is behind AMD.
Digital Doundry doesn't even have a single line of code to analyze, so all they are doing is speculating and writing fluff pieces. Speculation is not tech analysis.
I don't know Batman on XBO Has few jaggies. The XBO has a great upscaler and Batman does anti-aliasing very well as seen in the DF face off.
By now I have seen enough comparisons online and in person when it comes to 900p up scaled to 1080p vs native 1080p. Honestly, there just isn't enough of a significant perceptible difference to really care. 900p/60 fps is perfectly fine and I'd actually say I would take that anyway over 1080p/30 in most fast paced games.
If you need any proof about the 900p vs 1080p debate look at Batman AK. They look virtually identical.
Actually the trend is it will happen. Xbox and Windows PC will merge. There will be an Xbox app. We are just in a transition period. It will happen. Microsoft stands too much to gain by just sticking with a console centric gaming focus. The future is both fully competitive and fully integrated into one Xbox product.
Yes!!! Baby!!!
That isn't the reason hey aren't doing emulation. The reason is they spent $380 million on Gaikai. Yes, even the all mighty Cell processor can be emulated. It would take some really good software engineers to get it to work but it is possible.
