Do a price hike and give no justification why. Then later reveal a new feature... Terrible idea that does not bring any sort of satisfaction or justification.
Announce the hike with the proposed benefits and allow the consumers to decide it's worthiness. Not happy with the increase.

Judging how the UI looks on each, I would say that the X has way more going for it in terms of functionality, menus, content and algorithmic coding for many content ID's, the PS is essentially a funky menu bar.
I would think the difference in installation is due to the complexity differences of the UI. This is not a flamebait comment, read it as an opinion, not as a assessment of quality.
