The thorn in publishers' sides is that reviewers not part of their paid circle are highly focusing on VALUE (the framework of a product review). I am finding that most game reviewers "blacklisted" by the AAA Publisher Mafia are not posting insane internet rantings seeking clicks but have been very rational and fair in their reviews while not budging in standing their ground and speaking their minds. They have passion and conviction for the video game art discipline.

So much high end, quality content and value for the price. No DLC calendars, carefully market researched addiction/gambling exploits, or meticulously calculated, previously made, drip fed, timed content releases spread out over the next year to milk wallets. Other big AAA games which also take years to make come out with minimal content and then SUDDENLY drop their hefty DLC "packs" within the next few months post release - obviously all pre-made.

MS has Xbox Live subs (where they make most of their Xbox Division money) and a console they need to sell to people, and since PC players do not pay for Xbox Live they can only get us subbing on their consoles. Simple really: sleazy marketing scheme to make their console more appealing.

According to DSOG, Slightly Mad had no issues properly optimizing cores for PCars 2, so this "maxing out" one single core is just intentionally "gimping" their Xbox Live ...

I personally thought it was an incredible and thought provoking ride that I've played several times through now. Turns out uninformed, bandwagon, AAA-only, ADHD fanboys get tired of being ripped off by the low quality Big Publisher Mafia microtransaction infection and $120 half-hearted games and need the real depth found in these oh so "lame self published indies". Slamming on the these small studio titles when the devs pour their hearts into nothing but the highest quality wi...

Same. I just checked and it looks like a decent game. However, I guess the lack of good competition within MS's marketplace means obscure titles get more attention and sell better vs jam packed marketplaces other consoles and PC.

CDPR - A high caliber "self" publisher whose team brought top notch value for the cost of a full price game +DLC unlike every AAA gaming company out there. They will always have my support. They've proven their dedication to quality products.

DAY ONE, DRM-free Witcher 3 was released on GOG Galaxy (CDPR subsidiary) simultaneously when it hit Steam and the consoles. This along with their massive amounts of high quality, technical polish (on PC at least), and ...

Really good game, especially co-op. We played a lot last night. $40 very well spent and there are NO MICROTRANSACTIONS! Sony doesn't try to sucker you out of money. Just a simple exchange for a good game and that's that - just how gaming is supposed to be.

"It's cosmetic..." OMG let's go shopping like totally nowwwwww!!!! IG selfie!!

Obviously, can't put spec'd out gear in the marketplace or it would be P2W, but they are closer than you think to having it all P2W to let rich kids fight it out while they get paid. This is Trojan Horse marketing to inject the mobile infection in AAA games.

No thanks. I'll buy more games with that money. Microtransactions marketplaces are unet...

Looks to be another high quality self published title. Studio MDHR essentially gave sweaty, coke snorting, publisher execs and drm a figurative middle finger just like Ninja Theory. They dumped a drm free version up on GoG Galaxy, so that makes this an absolute buy for me. Day 1 releases on Galaxy tell me the devs care about quality products and the customer (there are exceptions oc). They also gave me a way to avoid the Xbox App, aka Facebook for Windows Games Overlay).

Exactly. And this is about VALUE. If companies are permitted to be shrewd with quality, then we can be shrewd right back with our wallets. This brings competition for our money and better products for everyone. Customers are not wrong or entitled given Activision-Bungie's record this gen.

Gamers need to get their gd standards back because customers in every other industry demand quality for their money.

Yep my brother's PS3 died and he got a slim replacement too.

MS wanted to charge me $150 (repairs and ground shipping) for my RRODing 360. They said 30 days, so yeah nope. I repaired it myself then it died again 2 months later then the same X clamp fix no longer worked. I just bought a 360 slim which I was refusing to do for so long but just gave in.

This will happen with OG XB1 owners now that it's discontinued. Gotta pad those sales somehow....

Yep he was bashing his customer base (calling them entitled or pirates) while knowingly releasing broken, rehashed, one-trick-pony games with of course dlc and microtransactions for a very long time. These worshiped execs are humbled once their wallets are threatened. Now we see they reached out to Nintendo to help fix their image and Nintendo's Mario creativity shines. Hopefully Ubi took good notes and releases some quality in the future.

They are already soulless. They needed Nintendo to inject some life back into their games.

Gonna take a lot more than a Mario game. They have a long history shitting on gamers.

Xbox one is discontinued now so I guess MS can just drop you XB1 users like they did with us 360 people a year before the XB1 announcement. I think this is why there have not been games because this is the exact way MS did it with us.

If it's that big of a deal, then they should compromise and sell a kbm-only "pro" version of the game where no controller support code goes near it with separate kbm-only servers/lobbies for those who want to play "pro" with like-minded players. Then have a lazy man version for people like me.

There are millions of us multi-platform gamers who actually want proper gamepad aiming support in our PC games just like their console counterparts because ga...

The beta was absolutely great and if there are great things to come (unlike D1's beta) then yes I will even DOUBLE DIP and grab the PS4 and PC versions since I have friends on both.

But I need to see the final product so I will not be preordering at all when there is no to minimal value in it. We'll see if things have changed in an industry full of PR and broken words. And yes I am bitter when these companies keep destroying Day 1 hype game time with our excited f...
