@Kingthrash360 Precisely. At least give us a standardized settings toggle to lower graphics in favor of 60fps, but my understanding is that the option will not be consistent. Even the Wii-U runs games at 60fps, and for that system the 1st party games look good, but console graphics and specs suddenly only matter when people dog on that system.

Has been my hope all gen, but bullshots are easier to use to impress people. I get horrible motion sickness and a desire for re...

It's that 4k player. I hardly use mine, but great price for those who need one.

We'll see. MS is all about social media buzz, making the Xbox into a closed PC, and 300% markups on x86 parts. You can build your own Scorpio now and it will even have Xbox games too!

$399 is a killer deal for what we get in this pure gaming console that's here, now. 1 year is a long time in tech. By then newer PC hardware will be out so I want the PS4P for Sony exclusives/PSVR.

Wishy washy marketers always going back and forth with goal posts.

@OMGitzThatGuy

It does that and more - for $399. DF released a nice layman breakdown video this morning too. I'm glad they focused on a games-only console once again (for me, exclusives and PSVR) because I already own a high end gaming PC that I constantly use and 4k player that hardly ever gets used. Good to leave this a streamlined gaming console, with some bonus streaming stuff.

Some people do things like this for the sheer wonder and are not sweating the small things too hard - which is why we have some of the best things we have in our lives. My engineering colleagues and my brother's fellow MIT math doctors love doing little nerdy stuff like this FOR FUN. The "wondering" usually hits in the crapper/shower/bed and being exorbitantly inebriated normally facilitates efforts over a free weekend in the workshop/garage.

It can be very ...

EA is a slave labor software grind house that has been sued a lot. They don't share their profits with their artists and devs, yet they demand (not reward) the entrepreneurial mindset using guilt and koolaid drinking company cultist managers to ridicule you in front of others and make your time there a nightmare with 100 hour work weeks and no overtime pay. Want me to work like the company is mine? Pay me fair market compensation. This is not China.

The sad thing is...

For gaming TVs, I include http://www.displaylag.com as my starting point then move onto various user reviews from different forums: AVS, etc. It's a pretty popular database of latencies on TVs and monitors; that little "game" mode on a TV does matter. People in forums usually only rate picture quality for movie use, so yes even though the picture may look incredible this does not help those gamers who desire good gameplay...

They are legally allowed to remote wipe all your licenses even based on a suspicion of violating terms. Corporations are not bound by laws instructing otherwise and are always going to treat us as guilty until proven innocent - if they even bother to clear your name and return your property after you are found innocent. You can google around how innocent people (even proven as innocent by the investigators) have lost entire libraries of itunes, kindle, PS, Xbox, Steam, etc. and have engaged...

You are correct, BrandanT. Totalitarian police states have historically practiced bashing religious people because then they can't control their "beyond the dictator" or "help my fellow man instead of the leader" thinking and have systematically executed millions more people than religious people (humans are dicks so there will still be some); I will get disagrees because people hate reading and research too.

No he didn't. Unethical journalists, again, fabricating drama for click bait. And people wonder why I blame greedy, unethical journalists for causing wars by irresponsibly writing political/religious click bait. I welcome the disagrees.

@Kirchh77 This is the exact reason I rarely post. I would love to go back and forth in productive debates, but like/dislike, agree/disagree, golden stars, brownie points, trending scores on comments and discussions are tainted by those who want arguing rather than in upvoting substance. Mine are never usually that stimulating to begin with, but I do like discussions. Some days I'm bored and will add my opinion, but other days I just don't feel like getting into a long winded irrati...

I agree with Foxtrot. This is all typical PR vomit because the Guillemot brothers are desperate for more investors since Vivendi has been upping their stake. Before the threat, it was Yves telling us paying customers what we will tolerate and approving broken game releases (the CEO is ALWAYS 100% responsible to the board, which is why he gets paid the big bucks). I have been boycotting them since AC Unity (1 person like me is nothing), but so have many other gamers. Now they are seeing th...

I concur. People need to breathe and relax on reading all these sleazy click bait articles and let the game come out before making such "black and white" judgements. The game keeps getting compared to other games, which is fine to grasp a simple frame of reference, but does not warrant fitting it in some mental box to be able to say "It is this" then start writing unfair articles without ALL the data - just to "appear" like a game expert for ad money. Every slea...

@Rude-ro. Yes! The disagrees means those people only follow what's popular through journalists and high production value commercials since what they say must be truth. Research must be hard for them. I am a software engineer in IT (proton accelerator controllers for cancer treatment) who has been filtering through unethical, paid-off journalists and marketing vomit in many aspects of tech. MS, partners, and involved journalists have inspired many movies about their anti-trust/consumer...

Agreed. They are the major cause of fabricating fanboy/console war hate and drama between us gamers and it's ONLY for traffic/ad revenue - especially their awful comparison videos where they do not match exact conditions and settings - and the utter shitstorms they cause while they high five each other all the way to the bank.

I remember the day I stopped solely relying on one site like IGN just before this gen and realized nearly every "news" video was prefi...

I've been holding off and waiting for an unofficial video like this from a real gamer. Thankfully, looks like what they've been showing us, so to me they've been honest about their product - unlike all the other AAA demos from greedy execs and marketing scum who high-five one another and rub each other off in celebration of conning the masses into preorders with their doctored garbage (aka false advertising to the FTC - even as demos, if you read). I was hoping I was wrong in b...
