So yet another great review - on top of all the games getting praise. I am happy VR is gaining respect.

It seems that calibration/setup is making a big difference in the reviews that are negative. I am hearing there are some deep calibration tools on PSVR that can be utilized (such as adjusting for pupillary distance, better motion controller detection, etc.). According to these reddit users, they are saying these tools make a huge difference. Hope this knowledge become...

If there is one thing they are masters at it is visuals. I can't wait to see what they bring to VR. Even with a little bit of story help, this game has great potential. VR presence cannot be explained. You have to try it. Even something normally stupid like piling rocks on another planet feels incredible, and Crytek will make certain you will feel like you are "there".

Oh wow I was not expecting this! I thought it was going to get delayed! Oh man some good holiday fun this year!

Me and my VR "group" are buying this. It was so fun at the demos. It does NOT play like COD or BF - so be warned. It has a lot of depth and content vs all the garbage that I am hearing that this launch lineup is only tech demos and a small list of games. No.

in case everyone forgot this gen launch lineup:

I always buy both.

So we are back to the "graphics matter over gameplay" argument again. As I recall, people were putting down Driveclub for the graphics over gameplay thing (even though the gameplay was great). Now MS loyalists are doggin it for gameplay over graphics? Did I miss something?

When we were kids, we used to go and play the games at retailers. We were excited to try things out! I played this game MYSELF several times at the demo stations and it is great fun. And I...

Nothing wrong with what you said. I am an engineer and I understand completely having that level of deep curiosity for this extremely technical artform. It used to bother me growing up hearing from black-and-white thinkers to not be concerned with such "trivial" in between details all the time, but how can I not? It’s how my brain is wired. I am driven by wanting to know how everything works. This aspect is also precisely how I enjoy games in addition to playing them. I was fa...

Candyland and DF usually put forth the best efforts to get some of the best 1:1 comparisons. Candyland really only gives texture comparisons, and we've all learned there is more to graphics. Resolution, LOD, AA, AF, AO, Pure Hair, SSR, foliage, tessellation, etc. can be cranked as expected on PC to make it look beautiful (including real 4k). However, I think it looks good on consoles, and things like lighting, smoke, misc effects, just many elements are involved in making the game look...

Its not about proving or disproving, like high school insecurities (and which obviously carried over with these journalists deep into their jobs). It's about their business and Sony's market research showing them viable reasons that they should take the risk for a potential market that is ready to buy. They PS4pro parts kept the cost the same, so why not?

I am primarily a PC gamer, and like me, all my fellow PC buddies are picking one up - mind you for exclusives ...

This was a surprisingly excellent UWP game for me on PC (Ultimate edition), unlike FH3. Obviously, NO game is perfect. I have my nitpicks about it, but will always recommend this game because it's issues are very minor and did not hinder any of the fun, like frame drops do - which absolutely annihilate the point of playing games. The Coalition gave great care to honoring the past games' combat, arenas, detailed scenery, and pacing, creating believable characters like [SPOILERS] bit...

Yes and PSVR's tracking works well. Sony explicitly states in their manuals not to have bright lighting etc. and is why reviewers were having issues. The cost is much lower than its competitors so compromises, like making easy adjustments in lighting, should be expected. Reviewers are simple journalists at the end of the day, and while not stupid, they left me wondering about their ability to get tech functioning without emotion. Many seemed rushed and upset it was not as easy as a sin...

My God this would be the perfect time to push PSVR horror! The PT and Outlast streams were amazing because of hilarious reactions and VR makes it much more intense! Just my 2 brain cells clackin.

I already bought the second case - "RDS Industries PSVR Headset and Accessories Deluxe Carrying Case"

Hardshell protection from dust and the kids. I am treating mine like I do my nice cameras and guitars and will wipe down and put away after use.

Less than 3 days for me! Deliveries usually get here at 10am! Have fun in VR land fellow gamers!

No worries, I'm with you. The offenders want us to be okay with it like good little boys. I am noticing the comments here are filled with Trump voter hate vomit.

No, as I said in the last article about this, there is a minimal level of conduct and civility that should be observed by all ADULTS while in public. I am not hanging with low life "bros". You could try to convince me and my buddies with two tours of combat experience to grow a spine, but I am sure we've got that handled without anyone's help. I have witnessed a lot of OPEN racism and hate while in the service; It is ugly and evil in its purest form, and as history has sh...

It is great to see that developers are using it for immersion and not just to give motion sickness attention for those of us who easily suffer yet want to game - which is also nice. However, I want to believe that VR games will have the option so to not force us into one control scheme or that they aren't just doing this to avoid putting in the optimization work. Teleporting didn't facilitate presence as much as walking when I used it, though it is amazing for circumventing motion s...

To be fair, this gen (or any) didn't exactly start with their "Forza" or "Uncharted" right out of the gate. This may be a peripheral, but it is definitely its own platform, and I would not be surprised if it was bundled next year with a whole all-in-one kit: processor and everything built into the PS4ProSlimT1000 (if we get one).

Bad jokes aside, this gen had a VERY rough start games-wise compared to last gen and even the E3 after that first year wa...

My God, yes. Regular TVs/displays at a MINIMUM have been 60hz for decades and the responsiveness in gaming is undeniable. Systems like Dreamcast gave it their best effort to provide 60fps given that time's technology limitations, and Sega arcade games during that time were 60fps beauties. A ton of arcade games were 60fps and it was just a standard in the late 90s/early 2000s. If I can avoid 30fps I ALWAYS will.

Ubisoft and other AAA companies are all about their scr...

It's not about any of that. I was in the military and heard every and all racist comments and jokes. I also heard every joke making fun of people's physical appearances: fat, short, skinny, big ears, weird arms, birth marks, massive jugs, etc. etc. etc. We like to make fun of others because it feels good to feel better than others, but racism is not just about that; it is pure evil.

Assholes will not just do it in jest, but because they are mirroring/projecting ...

I agree. Everyone who tries it for themselves or watches REAL lets plays (vs sponsored bashing) is excited. The only reviewers trashing the PSVR are those suckling on that facebook/microsoft overlord teet. Reputable reviewers give realistic and understandable performance reviews based on its price. Real world tests all show it is great for the price. As DF's Richard said, it is a balance and the PSVR fulfills it beyond expectations.

NO other VR setup compares for th...
