Righto.
She was never meant to be included. Whether you think her price is fair or not aside, $40 (or $36 in Amazon's case I think) for this game as it is, is VERY fair.
She wasn't in the game, that's clear because she's a sizeable patch. You can still play against her online without buying her (patch is auto-dled to allow this) so if you really don't wanna pay, don't. Just don't think this game is 'incomplete' because they...
I agree with you completely.
$8, admittedly, is more than I thought she would cost BUT
You get her Unlimited, Colours, Tutorial and Challenge Mode (which are massively important IMO), and the first two things are paid for (well, Unlimited is unlockable but very difficult) and the colours are $15 themselves to get them all.
Arc System Works annoyed me a bit with the lack of colour compatibility for CT, and also the fact that some of the colour...
Wow. Don't tell me this crap works in games other than shooters too? I sure as hell hope it doesn't work in fighting games. Then again it would be OBVIOUS if someone was using it there so I guess you could easily see it and just leave.
*sigh* and unfortunately it's incredibly easy to make...there's even a youtube tutorial. I'd report any jackass using this shit right away
I SWEAR the Aksys guy said Makoto would be out August 3rd for the PS3 in the Continuum Shift FAQ. Don't tell me we get _NOTHING_ for CS this week.
Goddamn it...
Damn, I want to play.
Not so much with Kinect as I do with them.
Haha yeah, but he's one of those who does it on purpose. I mean, I don't like a lot of games coming out nowadays, but unlike him I have the capacity to understand why others would.
I see you still disagree with me. Fair enough. I have other reasons for disliking Virtua Fighter in any case, most notably that I think it is boring as hell to actually play. Though as I said before, I do not question its technicality. This for me, is where SF becomes a much better choice. It is both technical and has a much greater 'fun factor' in terms of the feeling you get for pulling off difficult combos and links.
I would not recommend VF5 to anyone, myself. <...
When I say 'out there right now,' I mean this generation (PS3, 360, modern Arcade fighters specifically). So I'm not including let's say, SF3 or any of the Guilty Gears, or KOF for that matter. And I am biasing my comment towards 2D fighters if that wasn't obvious.
I think VF is the most technical 3D fighter. Having said that, I don't care for or play 3D fighters.
But on the other hand, I think SF is all-around the most technical. You can't get more technical than a one-frame-link IMO. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe VF has no such links. I believe it has 0-frame throws but that is not at all the same.
Edit: I see it has one-frame delays. Similar concept, but I think SF's 1 frame link is still mor...
Apparently he likes obscure PSN titles. While they may be good, they're probably not.
While I don't particularly care about Mortal Kombat, I find it funny that you don't know anything about fighting games but you think you do.
"Nothing in the Racing, Fighting, Wrestling, Sports, FPS genre ever changes."
You probably play RPGs.
I also like how you are one of those leeches on this website who cannot submit nor approve, yet you bother to pout on unapproved articles in the absence of doing anything useful.
BlazBlue is a great game and my current favourite fighter, BUT I cannot agree with anything you said about SF4. SF4/SSF4 is the most technical fighter out there right now, and no one plays the same. In BlazBlue's case, the roster happens to be diverse as HELL but that's just how Arc System Works makes their games.
I agree with the story part but who really cares. I love that BlazBlue has a good story, but I don't care that SSF4 doesn't. That in no way makes or...
All fighting engines are different. Any time you cross two existing franchises, the best way to do it is to make 2 titles. The same way that both Capcom vs SNK and SNK vs Capcom exist.
Why don't people realize this? It's ALWAYS better to do it this way. The reason that there's only Capcom's version of Marvel vs Capcom and Tatsunoko vs Capcom is because those companies DO NOT HAVE FIGHTING GAMES.
So saying something stupid like 'wouldn'...
I want this, but I hope that (like BlazBlue) it will feature a challenge/trial mode...
That seems to be a thing almost mandatory for fighting games now IMO.
There won't be any news on it until it is revealed, which Namco has not done.
This article is commenting on the only gameplay footage shown, which is of SF x Tekken and not Namco's incarnation.
Exactly, which I think is a shame...
They should really put out a PS3 sequel. It would obviously have trophies and hopefully get more sales...and I would just love a sequel. It's one of few game series that is not a fighting game which I still care about.
I did not care about MGS4 trophies, I beat the game numerous times and did various Extreme runs to get all the emblems. Delaying a playthrough of a fantastic game for a reason like No Trophies is just stupid. They're not coming.
Valkyria Chronicles is another fantastic title, which should not be passed up simply because it doesn't have trophies. I want a PS3 sequel......
This is not the submitter's fault at all, but I should make it clear that most/all of the information in this article is wrong.
The "patch" added is completely FREE, it is simply data that allows Makoto Nanaya (not "Nana") to be played AGAINST, and the Yen price does NOT equate with the American price as far as the actual DLC character goes.
And the PC version is Calamity Trigger, not Continuum Shift, which is a port of the older game....
Like I said, Tekken fans will prefer the Tekken version.
The lasers are quite different than projectiles. I've used Devil Jin, he's the only laser user I've ever used, and you cannot really "control space" with it, since it is more of just a straight up attack than a pressure move (for example, in SF, repeated hadoukens if an enemy is turtling). The SF style of projectiles is pretty different than what Tekken offers so I'm just curious to see how Nam...
Maybe you're just on a roll right now but I've thoroughly agreed with everything you've said here, Baka.
I love SSF4 but your comments about the cast are certainly true.
