…it’s a tech demo to show its contact physics engine. It has no interest in showing you flashy colours.
… but Portal is a game mode. A server browser is, well, a server browser. They’re not the same thing at all. So is it lying and it does not have a server browser?
This shouldn’t be this complicated.
We hear this relentlessly and we see literally no change. Even the latest versions of the malware rootkit anti-cheat softwares don’t seem to stop anything.
I wonder where all of this leaves the as yet unreleased Switch 2 version… it’s not looking good.
The price from the outset for this game is just ridiculous in itself. For such a minimalist/shallow game, this unfortunately is prime greed by Nintendo. I don’t know why they do this. I can understand it with some things because Nintendo do have a reputation of looking after their employees. So appreciating that peoples work deserves to be reimbursed is one thing but they also need to appreciate that not every little thing is chargeable especially with something like this that SHOULD just be ...
The problem with reviews and sites like this is literally 80% of the “review” is the author just gushing over Nintendo. Nothing to do with the gameplay of the game they’re supposed to be reviewing. So many of these reviews seem to have primary highlighting feature, being that you can break walls and that’s purely what they proceeded to do with the majority of the time even identifying that their enjoyment was just simply breaking walls over and over again just for the sake of it.

October 10th is surely an old placeholder. The public beta is not even out yet. You’re expecting it to be finalised, published to gold then sent to production in 2 and a half months??
Have they not lost the license for Mario vs Rabbids. I’m sure I read they weren’t allowed to make another.
Wow. You’re about as sharp as a box of frogs aren’t you…
“Normal” people who have more than 2 brain cells in their head are not paying $100-200 for characters or signature weapons. People using stolen bank details and gift cards are buying them. People who are buying them with their own money have learning difficulties and are being taken advantage of.
It’s predatory behaviour against the vulnerable and it’s wrong!
I have 2 disagrees but I think you’re forgetting that, yes while this would usually be a developer issue. These games are now running through a Nintendo emulator and they didn’t seem to have these memory leaks on the original hardware unless they went unnoticed..
This guy is so deluded. He really needs to be held accountable for what he’s saying at this stage. It’s getting beyond a joke. Ubisoft are a complete laughing stock at this point. It’s getting embarrassing.
You can’t literally use the exact same formula for every game for over 10 years without change then blame everything and everyone for no longer finding any of it interesting.. at this point a child should be able to explain this to him.
I wonder if the memory leak issue with many games after 1-2 hour mark is a Nintendo issue or a developer issue?
… I’m assuming it’s a Nintendo issue as it’s repeatable on a few different games now.
I wonder if it will be paid DLC? Imagine charging £80 for a kart racer then charging for dlc later. Especially if the characters have clearly been stripped from the game and the voice acting of these characters were already in the credits of the game at launch.. that would be something.
..oh man, I take it back I still think there’s a memory leak. As it’s just slowed down again 😒
Just to let people know, the new 20.2.0 firmware release for Switch 2 has fixed more back compatibility. XCOM2 which ran notoriously badly (I was playing it yesterday wishing it would get a patch as framerate was terrible) just loaded it up to test it after installing the new firmware and it flys now. It’s so, so smooth now! Solid locked 60fps by the looks of it. It makes such a massive difference.
Why is this review written like the person hasn’t actually even played this version of the game!?
He doesn’t know what the multiplayer portion of the game is like because he hasn’t tried it. He can’t comment on any new maps, units etc because he hasn’t come across them yet.
Sounds like the last time the guy played it was back in the ‘90s and he’s been paid to review the new game based on his 30 year old nostalgic memory. The whole thing reads really weir...
I forgot just how good this series was. This is what I need for me to switch my PS5 back on. Haven’t played it in months but I’m looking forward to this release.
Wow. Was wondering what Nintendo were going to do with this. With their current behaviour I had a feeling they would do this but I thought they were getting so much grief that it might just increase the price.. looks like they actually went “Full Nintendo” tm.
Shame on them. They really are becoming a bit of a cancer.
..It would also create unbearably high ping/jitter latency
Stupid article, designed for stupid people to take notice of it. Do yourself a favour and ignore it don’t give it the benefit of a click.
