It’s about time Sony seriously upped their game with VR controllers. As an owner of PSVR their move controllers are just an embarrassment. The controller tech is almost, in fact maybe it is, a decade old!

The depth of design into Tempest seems far more advanced than Xbox offering. The fact that the idea is to custom the sound to your own custom ear response. That’s what interests me. There’s a lot more can be done to audio in the industry it’s currently pretty poor. Surround sound and 3D audio are 2 very different things. Although technically speaking 3D audio is just a fancy term for surround sound. It just has more of an emphasis on direct positional audio. Which is massively lacking in gene...

At this stage it’s the tempest engine keeping me from going over to the Series X. I couldn't really care less about the difference in speed between the SSD’s.

Ouch! That’s not a great score. I do find it funny when people claim the predator is too overpowered though. That’s only true if you’re playing with people who can’t play the game properly. A good team of mercs playing properly can absolutely annihilate predator. I’d say it’s the other way around. Soon as the majority get good The narrative will change.

Still!? This was their main priority at the very start of the beta and never changed through that. So they’ve had over a month to investigate this as they expressed was their top priority and nothing’s changed?

Glad I haven’t bought it yet. Still got my £10 Epic Games voucher to use which I was planning on using to pick this up for £22. Maybe I wont now if it looks like the devs aren’t doing anything to fix issues. Still haven’t seen any reviews of it either which...

Why was it a perfect game? I’m genuinely interested in finding out why people think this. I played it when it arrived on PC and it was a really crap game, like really dull and clunky.

Never understood the hype behind it at all. I think @Shaggy2303 is into something. I think the only reason it gained its hype was because it was kinda the first to do it on the Wii with motion controls. A system that was pretty starved of decent mature games. and it’s all a bit rose tinted gla...

? Think you've either got the wrong game or you've posted on the wrong article. This is a fairy new game

Same thing as usual. Industry and media try’s to hype them up and price gauge. No one buys them at their ridiculous initial inflated cost so they Reduce them back to normal.

Well it didn’t seem to take that long after all to make people cave in and accept always on mics in their living rooms and children’s bedrooms.

Just goes to show you how fickle the general public are. Push a couple of products (Echo and google home) for a year or 2 to get through the moaning stage and that’s all it takes. Now no one is batting an eye lid. That’s literally all it took.

It really is that simple. Same with gaming micro-transactions. Same wi...

Reel it in a bit Sony. The last thing I want is something that looks like a little kids toy sitting under my TV. I understand they’re going to have to style out somehow with what ever cooling solution/design they end up going with but just make it subtle.

@ninsigma No, because we've known for the duration of these leaks that Sony couldn't lock down frequencies in dev kits. We also know that standard SSD's give off a lot of heat nevermind Sony's souped up version. I'm an overclocking enthusiast and anyone who is in to overclocking in any form can understand how difficult it would be to overclock a GPU to 2233Mhz. The thermals on that thing are going to be insanely hot even after a few minutes.

... So yea c...

Exactly! I'm not trying to hype Xbox in anyway. I'm just saying common sense suggests that everything is indicating this "rumour" is true, but if it's not it's extremely simple for Sony to squash it outright. Which they have absolutely no reason not to do unless it is true. Simple.

“Please folks this is a completely baseless lie with absolutely no evidence and complete conspiracy theory. Please believe us when we tell you(with absolutely no evidence) that you shouldn't believe this despite the overwhelming common sense that supports the conspiracy theory. Meanwhile we’ll continue to do absolutely no PR or marketing despite our rival competitor running away with great success in these areas prior to release. We thank our fanboys for your resilience and dedication”

I think people are misunderstanding. Yes you can still have it passthrough audio through the HDMI but then its forcing your audio through the sound system with video as well and as its not HDMI 2 or above you're then going to lose your real 4k, HDR, Variable Refresh Rate as it's no longer compliant.

So at the moment I have to have the HDMI through my TV and surround sound separate through its own channel by optical port.

So for all the people like me who have forked out for a new tv but still have an old expensive surround sound system that still works perfectly but doesn’t have HDMI 2 pass through. Can no longer choose to connect separately though optical. We have to buy a brand new surround system despite the old one still working fine.

I was actually considering going back to Xbox after hearing the specs of both next gens but this is a big pull to swollow. Maybe too big. With the PS5’s ...

While it was really rough around the edges it wasn’t too bad a game. Was it worth full asking price? No, and I’m one of the few that enjoyed it.

It was a game designed from the ground up for consoles. However it performed dreadful on consoles. On PC it performed great but being a console game it’s controls and available options were crap.

Played it on PC first and instantly thought I couldn’t continue as it was clearly designed for console with no thought...

Great. Wanted this for ages and nearly bought it a few times but didn’t in the end.

...it’s lucky I didn’t as unfortunately it doesn’t work for me. Crashes to desktop as soon as I run the game. Doesn’t even get to title screen. Quick google search shows it’s a common fault. Apparently they released a few hotfix’s to fix it but it’s still there. Second I run the game my fans instantly ramp right up. No thermal steps just jumps right up and stays there until it crashes. Nioce...

The difference is you also have to deduct the OS from there as well. Microsoft will probably have an extremely well optimised OS size-wise (Being that’s what they do). Playstation won’t be great so it’ll likely take up more, and has less to start with.

So you’re looking at realistically maybe being able to have 5 maybe 6 games at a push based on current sizes (these will only increase). On your system. With likely no way to increase storage at launch and when you can incre...

Great news completely ruined by the removal of Vice City FM.

Sony is clearly worried about the specs not holding up against Xbox but they still have the momentum in sales and customers from PS4 to shift units. So we’re going to get as little information from them as possible because they don’t want to over accentuate that point.
