Bullshit! Games tried to be expensive, looking at you Turok.. that tried to attempt to sell at £70. But it failed. I soon after bought it for £25.
This narrative is stupid. It lasted 5 minutes and continues to last 5 minutes every time it’s attempted. Until it fails and prices return to normal. Basketball was huge in the UK in the 90’s. We also had great basketball video games that sold very well annually just like fifa. But it did just seem to disappear overnight almost.

No. That was the excuse they gave later. All they had to do was engine bake factions as they did with the single player. It’s literally no further work needed as it was built with engine scaling in mind to begin with. It was done in order to sell it to people until the backlash they received. When they realised they would be dragged through the gutter after all the other lies they had told about the remaster.

Factions was one of the best mp around. Then they stripped it from the remaster claiming it would come later as a free update. Then it’s delayed 3 YEARS!! Then it’s no longer free.
I guarantee this will be a multiplayer only game with a single hand full of levels at £70.
I’m not interested in project Q at all but I think Sony will surprise people with pricing. I’m guessing £109.99 - £119.99. I still don’t think it will sell particularly well though.

This just shows the power of fake marketing and stupidity of society. Sony already publicly addressed the previous sales figures. Stating themselves that they dramatically reduced manufacturing numbers due to part sourcing and covid/recession. Despite that Sony never sold out.
They can’t suddenly back track and say we were wrong, we did make more and we haven’t had issues sourcing parts and in the biggest recession we’ve ever had we’re selling more units than we ever had. ...

If you’re not a pc gamer then despite how scummy their practices are you’re better off sticking with intel cpu and Nvidia gpu. The value isn’t as good but it will just work and you won’t have to wait for tailor made patches to trickle through for each game to work.

Never played it. I had moved on from PlayStation since then. So looking forward to the remake. Hope it’s not too cheesy tho.
Great game, don’t know how it will gel with console players tho, but it could work as you tend to work with squads instead of armies. So it’s a little less chaotic.

The original duke nukem rrp was never £50. I bought it from GAME, day 1, for £29.99. £30-35 was the going rate for nearly every game. I still have the box with the sticker on it.
