Another spot on review. Only guy you can trust on the internet these days.
Only just picked this up on the PC to test out my new graphics card. Have to say I think I'm possibly enjoying it more than Uncharterd 4.
..Wasn't expecting that from Sony.
I don't believe a single word Sean Murray or Hello games has left to say.
@yomfweeee I don't know whether you guys are purposely making this stuff up just to try & stir people up or you're some kind of paid 3rd party doing damage control...
I can't believe they're lying again, Surely this can't be right? Now saying that all the DLC might not actually be free after all. Only after promoting it for this 1st week of sales by publically promising all of it would be.
Has a dev ever been this openly dishonest & brash publically other than Gearbox?
I wont be supporting them in any future work just like I haven't & never will with Gearbox.
I agree with @Filmicfps, what makes the procedural generation so groundbreaking in this game??
It's the newest game to use this tech yes, but from the around 6 hours that I have played its the least most technically impressive use that i've seen. There is so little variation. In all fairness i've only played for about 6 hours like I said which has only been around 6-8 planets but there's very, very little I've seen that I didn't really see on the ver...
What the hell is wrong with you people!?
He clearly said there was multiplayer & clearly said that it was possible to meet other people. In fact claiming it would be the only possible way you would ever find out what your character model actually looked like. People have been uploading the very video where he makes this claim & you people are still childishly defending him.
It's ironic that while trying to make the point of others being stupid...
Glad the UI is getting an overhaul. Very happy with folders & the new quick guide. It's taken long enough!
Haha BS "second fastest selling game EVER! Second only to Unchartered 4"
Is someone forgetting GTAV, Destiny & COD. All of which claimed they were the fastest selling games on PlayStation ever.
I wish the gaming industry wasn't allowed to get away with outright public lies all the time.
Seems like they're angry at Microsoft. Bringing an updated version to Steam then publicly stating they wont be releasing any more patches for the Windows store version. Seems very harsh on their customers who bought the Windows store version.
An "Old Skool" mode is definitely needed!
Im hoping with all the content/modes theyre releasing for it that they do realise its something that would pretty much keep the original DOOM community happy.
I don't understand. Is the windows store version DX12 & the Steam version DX11 only??
@GrubsterBeater - The only thing I am stating as fact is procedural generation has been done for many years. I simply wanted to know what actually makes it groundbreaking for you & many other people like you. It seems then when you realise what procedural generation is & that it has been around for a while & this is a gradual step up like any other game or sequel. You don't seem to be able to explain what makes it groundbreaking despite still gushing over that same statement. ...
@XiKurapikaKurta - I agree with you. The tech used is a step up, but it's just that, a single step in procedural generation (in gaming anyway).
Don't you think people's belief in what they think is going on seems a little scary crazy??
@GrubsterBeater - Again, you're determined that something here is groundbreaking but you're unable to explain what it is.
I don't have any silly allegiance & I've never said I dislike the game. It's just that this "groundbreaking", "most important game ever", "Industry changing", PR nonsense is insane & making people look like idiots for lapping it up without understand that it's nothing particularly new & ce...
Again this is my point, It's a "Procedurally generated" game. Which means exactly that. It's scale is irrelevant as it's again procedurally generated, like any other game of it's kind.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the visual fidelity either as it's very basic & just streamed in then scrapped when out of vision. Again, just like any other modern game.
I'm not saying it's a bad game by any stretch I jus...
Please explain why this game is so important? Also why it will be given the same respect as those games mentioned above?
I'm honestly really interested to know your understanding or reason other than the twisted PR you've been told to believe.
So many people here have such a massive misunderstanding of this game or procedural generation as a whole & it's "scale". They certainly have pulled off some incredible sensational hyperbole. It has so many people wound up so tightly about what they think is this magical scientific revolution of a game scale. Despite the hundreds that have came before it that have done the same thing.
It really is quite insane the reaction of peoples comments towards it.
...
The sales figures were fake. Which is why they were quickly followed by "NMS sales drop 83% after first week" it's a simple commonly used marketing tool to make people think that it's important that they buy it quickly because "everyone" else is.
