To say the gampad looks like a Fisher Price toy is proof enough you didn't try one. It looks like that on some official photos tough. What Nintendo should improve before they ruin the launch of new products is the marketing department.
It doesn't really metter when will the Zelda game come out as long as it's good, which it will be. It's that the WiiU is loosing momentum again, and the shelves that only began resurfacing on the wave of Super Smash, Bayonetta and Toad Tracker suddenly look empty one more time with only poor MParty a lonely new release. At least in Europe where we are in the middle of a 4 month hole until Splatoon. Now there's indeed enough content too play, but the empty shelves just don'...
Nintendo will never make a PS hybrid, that's for sure. It would be a shot in it's own leg.
WiiU is already the most efficient home console in terms of power consumption. It actually doesn't get advertised enough. Can see a slight redesign armed with additional hd space in 2016 more likely than a new model. Its too early to call it quits. Also seems like the 2016 lineup is eventually beginning to shape; Metroid, Animal Crossing, SMT Fire Emblem, Pokken Fighters, probably Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion and a few third party exclusives/crossovers, possibly F-Zero with some new p...
Should a Toyota CEO talk about Ford's and VW's advantages over his own?
q2 2013/2014 WiiU 7% ; getting almost abandoned by Ubisoft
q2 2014/2015 XBOne 9% ; guess Ubisoft has to almost abandon now
I feel sorry for jobs lost and hope the people get through off course, but I kinda like to think that the team responsable for the WiiU marketing in EU is gone.
The WiiU has is in no shortage of good games. Some people should really try harder. Nintendo did fail the media campaign past launch though.
If there are no more than three games appealing to someone on a console, he shouldn't bother. Don't buy it, and don't think of buying it. You can buy more games for your pc or whatever you have. It's for the best. How many great games a console should have to buy one, anyway? The WiiU is a superior platform for local multiplayer with kids or friends, an occasional "serious" piece, it has the most various controllers of any console, and is the only solution for scree...
Agree on many things from the article. If they think the WiiU is as good as anything they have to say it and mean it. They sure have the best know-how and man power in gaming development which somehow is not really delivering lately. I don't think the Wii was a bad product, and motion controls shouldn't be abandoned but upgraded. Nintendo as a big and prestigious company has the responsibility to technologically lead it's only major business field.
That's it. They are becoming pcs.
Well, I think the time is changing. Consoles are becoming pcs and pcs are consoles enough in the wifi era. Microsoft may add the office package to the next xbox etc. One machine can easily do it all from one place. The living room will be conquered by the pc. It's evolution. As for the games, almost everything is on Steam and Amazon as we speak. It's cheaper too. For my two cents, it's just a metter of time. Not saying 8th gen consoles won't have a shot. They are all great, bu...
Not saying WiiU is a success story. Nintendo however has the most potential to stand against or along the pc dominance. Sony is most dependent on 3rd parties and Microsoft software division will support the windows os. Both PS4 and Xone are fine products which will age soon I'm afraid. None of them, including the WiiU brought any new exciting feature on a gamer's table. The strenght of Nintendo is in the legacy. They own the all-time best of.
The console market as we know it is probably gone for good. New next gen machines in form of diguised pc's ala dell alienware models will soon become affordable, and both sony and microsoft will have a hard time competing with the overwhelming number of superior pc releases. The next gen will easily be won by pc hardware producers in the end, be it samsung, hp, lenovo or someone else on any current os platform. Nintendo is the classic video game industry right now, and it will survive if ...
Sorry to hear it from the pinball arcade developer, a game that constantly gets delayed on wii u. I am a pinball fan and was interested in the game, but not expecting much of it now. I guess I'll stick to the wonderfull zen pinball 2.
Metroid Blast is a great game. They should make it a proper standalone. As a fps it's second to none. Nintendo Land should get a sequel that can also come as dlc to already owners.
Exclusive to xb1 and pc is already a contradiction.
Toki Tori 2 is a nice game, but it gets a bit hard too soon to be a hit in my opinion. It also lacks multiplayer which seems to count much on WiiU. I wouldn't abandon the franchize though. It definitely has potential. Everybody seems to like the character.
All the best to indie developers. The site however features rather confusing web content.
Well, could be you didn't try a Fisher Price toy after all.
