I totally understand them for pointing out they like or dislike a certain hardware platform. Once you work with that stuff things get different. I dont like valve games, i think they are a little bland but i respect them as developers. Also no one seems to care about all the misinformation that sony spreads on intend to boost their sales.
Ehm...hardcore games are more games that you play for weeks, months, even years. You go to tounaments compete in them, you play that stuff eight hours a day min to get better. None of these games on that list are anything hardcore. Gamingbolt, lol, these guys all try to cash up on the ad clicks.

Yeah, fatal frame(s) is one of the few games that actual deliver the goods.
Great sound and awesome atmosphere of constant icy horror. You have to play that with headphones and in the dark to get the most out of the game.

Dead space absolutely fails to scare me. This game had me snoozing.
Left4dead is an action game. Absolutely not scary.
Condemned didnt scare me either.
Resident evil isnt scary at all. Sure you have those dogs jumping through the window, but apart from that not scary.
Silent hill is a little uncanny but it isnt scary either.
