Don't know why anybody would downvote you. Anime character in a bikini? Sony want devs to bring out the light rays to cover those already covered cartoon boobies. Mass murder or anal sex in Last of Us 2 though? yeah, totally fine apparently. Backwards and hypocritical logic from Sony.

I would go with sunk cost fallacy. They have put so much time and money into the game that they feel like they have to justify that by continuing. I have seen it many times before with games in the past, especially with MMO's.

It's probably the most excited about a piece of tech I have been a long time. To date, so many companies have tried and failed to bring pc gaming into handheld form. It's either been too expensive, underpowered or too awkward, I am hopeful that the Steam Deck will have none of these issues.

But he WAS guilty. If he had tried to plead innocence, the judge may not have taken lightly to it and given him a longer sentence.

What? do you know how much money they make on their store alone? They take 30% of the profits for every sale on there, this includes things like DLC and Microtransactions.

Sony aren't doing this because they need to, they are doing it because they want more money.

Some people just won't accept any criticism against Sony.

They will actually defend paying more for a game to have access to features that you already paid for when you bought the console. Fanboys will defend anything.

People even defend Sony's price hike. Sony take 100% of the profit for games sold on their store, other companies need to pay Sony 30% for every sale, why does Sony need a price hike on their games when they make almost double the p...

People like you are so transparent. You're desperate for this thing to be shit for some weird reason. If you had actually read that 90 minutes battery life article, you would see that it was under instense load and being pushed to it's max. It was a deliberate attempt to drain the battery as quickly as possible. In a normal situation, the battery will last a lot longer.

Yes

What a brain dead take this is.

How is it overpriced or crap? It's over 100% cheaper than anything else of it's kind and way more poweful at the same time.

@Neonridr

They had to adjust the settings to get these results. If they didn't adjust the settings, it would last a lot longer.

@Neonridr

Brightness settings will be on the device itself, like every handheld device. Vsync will automatically be turned on for any game at medium settings, which is what most AAA games will be running at.

You're making it seem more complicated and awkward than it really is.

"constantly adjust settings" what makes you think you will need to do that? Also, even if you did, it would literally take like 5 seconds to do that. Just switch between, low, medium or high settings. Is this really so different than current gen consoles picking performance and quality modes?

You obviously don't get it. This was a test to drain the battery as quickly as possible by putting as much strain as possible on the hardware, nobody is actually going to play their games like this.

The crucial time was 10 years ago, it's too late now. People were warned what would happen, but not enough people cared. Now we have a whole generation of kids that became adults that see microtransactions as normal.

I gave up this fight long ago. At this point, people are just shouting into the wind, the fight against microtransactions has been lost, and it's gamers that allowed it to happen. The younger generation growing up with it won't see them as a big deal because they don't know any better, they are here to stay and nothing can stop them anymore.

It's never going to happen, but I would love it if Rockstar did what CD Projekt Red couldn't do. Make an open world Cyberpunk style GTA.

I feel that too much importance has been put on reviews. All I need to know about a game is if it's buggy and if it's well optimised. I don't care about anything else, I will discover that myself through watching gameplay videos or just trying the game out myself. Anything a reviewer says about the game or it's story means nothing to me because I don't value their opinion.

What did they take away from you? The only thing I can think of is free online gaming, but then the likes of Sony and Nintendo followed, so they are equal on that one. So what exactly have they taken from you?

It's not that serious bud.

Which is why a scoring system is completely pointless now. If everything below 7 is going be seen as bad or average, then we may as well scrap it.
