@RememberThe357 & darkride
I'm basing my statement on my belief that the best looking game I've seen this generation is Resident Evil 5, and seeing how the 360 version edged out the PS3 one, I don't think there's any effect that either console can do that the other one can't reproduce, and I have no doubt that something will dethrone Killzone 2 in a couple of years and probably still run on the older 360.
If you think I'm being a 360 fanboy, read anything I've po...
@ Darkeyes
That's not always true, especially considering the PS3 and 360 were in development at the same time...MS just pushed up their release, and the PS3 was plagued by pricing and development delays. Incidentally, the Xbox has the newer GPU core, and the Cell and Xenon are based on the same processor core

It's easy to claim that the "exclusives" are better than the multiplatform titles because, well...they're exclusive. But can you honestly say that any PS3 exclusive title could not be reproduced on another platform?
No.
It's be nice for once if this kind of news didn't always cause the salivating fanboys to clutch desperately to their Killzone and Uncharted cases. It's just one developer's opinion.
Have to say I agree... while I generally don't like Halo's art style in general, and I think Killzone looks far better...Halo's HDR lighting engine is one of the most advanced on the market at the moment. There are times in the game that it looks like real global illumination, particularly in the outdoor sections of the game.
Now if Bungie would fire their art director they might have a challenger to Killzone.
@3.1
Umm...aren't animated corpses called zombies? In any event, whatever those creatures were called - in your anal retentive definition - in those first three games...that's what I want to see more of.
All I know is that I want zombies back. Enough of those Ganados....
That was my first thought too... I don't think it's a new game (as much as I'd like there to be!)
I think while Nintendo has done a great job expanding the game industry, I think they have been rather *not* innovative in their efforts to expand the online market....and I don't really agree with Miyamoto's statement:
"It has been very difficult for online games to become an authentic business in the industry.”
There are plenty of companies doing quite well with online games (Blizzard, Sony, Square-Enix). Perhaps Nintendo is having trouble figuring out a way t...
Take the time to read it, you might be surprised.
Well, of all the box art I've seen... this is the most recent.
@Steve007
LOL...Clearly you haven't been reading too much of N4G then. This story and the site its on is a joke.
I don't think the Conduit looks anywhere as near as good as PD0 did, no matter how many crappy photos you compare it to.
Oneda announced in May that the PS3 is still sold at a $40 loss:

Hahaha..."The Spreading Taint"...that's pretty good
Looks impressive, though flying is apparently STILL a pain in the ass
This article is terrible; I can't believe they allow articles from a site like this on N4G!
So the PS3 is lacking antialiasing....that's not really a good thing
...probably because I never saw it, and that article you're talking about is an actual commentary and not just fanboy spam.
If I need to explain the difference to you then I'm not even going to bother to argue it
I wonder if we'll see so many of the Sony Defense Force© no longer bashing this series?
The PS3 will have a really impressive lineup, but realistically...I think this holiday season is going to be all about the 360, MW2 and L4D2...at least sales-wise.
Just a hunch.
