A game on a platform you are not affected by will make the game bad on that platform because the community actually has the freedom to do what they want to it?
I think the idea of realism is the consequent of a cultural value-- again, realism is favoured because realism is what our culture is fond of, while Japanese have a culture that is more into anime.
You draw the line on realism, I put it one step back and say realism is a consequent of culture, but we can at least both agree there is a distinction between the two
@Bundi
Effeminate, animated, theatrical, dramatical, gay, unmanly, that's ho...
What does realism have to do with it?
I think our culture is stereotyped to love shooters, as it is a cultural thing in America. Big, bulky, male characters are the norm
In Japan, they have a culture that is fond of anime and the like. Males are much more animated as a result.
Hey, V, u said Spectre isnt in the game, I am noticing only three main characters, and everyone else seems to be distributed between these three...right?
For example, Axel is no longer Axel, but has a Reaper mask on. The vehicles seem to be there, but all the drivers are either Sweet Tooth, Mr Grimm, or Dollface...?
And please tell me split-screen 2 player has online too!
I agree, I want this to be successful as it seems to offer great approaches to gameplay.
As for price, 3DS will profit if it already is not, and I think Nintendo can use the success of the handhelds and Wii to play around with the price without a significant loss.
Japanese gamers don't want Uncharted, and I honestly don't think U.S gamers are going to think of Uncharted as a system seller either (outside of the usual PS fans) Sony's First Party games have nowhere near the star power Nintendo's does.
Historically, Sony's best selling franchises outside of GT have been third party exclusives: GTA, CoD, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, etc.
I also think games like Gravity Daze deserve heavier...
^ I want changes to.
I'd like to see the playback buttons like the OnLive controller has. Imagine playing music without having to press the XMB to stop and change the track. There are uses for that as seen on OnLive that I thought was pretty cool.
Concave triggers, as well as a concave PS Button because sometimes I press it by accident. I also think the DS2 had better grip, that controller was boss. I wonder what the chances are of seeing new buttons. I t...
IGN is sourcing from a website that did the real analysis and broke down all the components. The same was done for the 3DS. It seems that IGN added up the price for the components listed, and prettied up the story.
You are also forgetting cost to manufacture, R&D, shipping, promoting, etc. As for memory cards, sure, they are expensive, but I assume it has to do with it being more of a proprietary device as opposed to pricing, since both the PS2 and 360 use the same scheme...
It damn well better be more powerful than current gen consoles
Special treatment? PSN had a network wide jacking, do you not expect the media to milk that? It has nothing to do with it being just Sony, talk about selective bias. If something big like that happens to any corporation, expect any website to cash in on it.
^ Does MS support SOPA? Last I checked EA, Sony, and Nintendo did, but then later withdrew
Yeah, this is a rubbish excuse. Besides, I Am Alive would sell without problem of interference on the 360
This game has been in developmental purgatory for quite some time now, sounds like wishful thinking to me to associate the reason with TLoU.
I'd also like a proper quote from the proper spokesmen, the citation sounds like BS
Hopefully a map pack with actual new maps before that though. I want to see that ship map
I love the old school UC2 maps, Village and Plaza, please!
Lol, I cant wait for this
... Wait...
WTF GREG MILLER?
I'd hope so
Not to be a jerk, but the twitter guy is right. It's time the WWE games get a shakeup because its clear that they aren't doing jack with it.
I don't wish ill on the developers, but I want a good wrestling game at least, and if they can't do it then it's time for someone more capable to step in and give the series a much needed change
Should have used that vertical slideshow to depict the three games, as seen in Jak II
But whatever, just boxart.
God forbid they advertise.
I dont want to click the link, but can u tell me the context?
I don't at all agree that Uncharted is "great" storytelling-- it's cinematic, it's got good dialogue, yes, but I find the praise for "Storytelling" to be pretty overrated. IMO, Uncharted 2 was a lot of flash over substance, as its presentation is what got lots of people excited, but I never found the actual story to trump some of the other high caliber games throughout history. Sure,...
