Well I wouldn't say that, there are many good PC ports, probably more bad than good but still. Darksiders, Assassin's Creed (minus the DRM, it plays and looks great on PC), RE5, and Street Fighter IV are just a few.

I think the MGS games don't need 60 FPS, but that's just me. Of course, everything is better at 60...

You didn't read the article. This most likely wasn't deliberate, but the fact is MS left an internal page publicly accessible. Given that Google was able to crawl it, that means anyone could access it as well.

What a bullshit article. Why was this approved? This translation says the exec only said it may not be a large leap over the PS3 in terms of graphics. In no way does that suggest the graphics will be WORSE.

I know, but that was in reference to JonahFalcon's comment -- he makes console piracy sound insanely complex. It's not.
With the PS3 you just download a modified firmware, place it on your USB device of choice and install via the storage option in Network Update... bam your console is piracy enabled. It's not any more difficult than installing an OFW, which is unfortunate for Sony.
Erm, the hacks for this generation of consoles are ALL software based. PC piracy is not install and go : you need to apply a crack usually, which is just about as difficult as enabling piracy on a 360/PS3.
The requirement is very modest. 8000 uniques in a month is nothing! One story on the N4G front page will get you that in a day basically.
Is that what constitutes a good port though? As long as a game has minimal bugs, no performance issues, and is flexible when it comes to controls I'd consider it a good port.
Extra graphical options is icing on the cake. I expect that from PC conversions or exclusives but not a port.
