I barely avoided Disc Scratching with the 360.
Was playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 at a friends house and for some reason I happened to move the 360.
Heard this F$%&ing loud grinding noise and panicked and shut the 360 down, waited like..2 minutes and turned it back on and took the disc out.
Luckily no scratches :)
Btw, his 360 is a miracle 360, had RROD then came back, without having to do a towel trick or anything.

Now to get to my other question, what is exactly beneficial in this? Sure you can invite a person into your game, but isn't it just as easy to send a message saying: Hey, let's play GeoW2.
Or does this actually invite the person, then once they pop the disk in, does it invite them to the respective player's party?
Sorry, for not knowing this, normally don't play 360 online.

Comparing Brawl to Melee, and the original Super Smash Bros, you can easily tell the difference
Brawl, it was like they added in characters just to fill in a roster, you couldn't do all these crazy moves people invented in Melee (fox shine technique?) and the game had a weight to it that just made it impossible to play efficiently.

I agree with just about every game BUT Super Mario Sunshine.
That game was one of the highlights of the gamecube.
Just visiting all the different areas was awesome in itself, but it was cool that you had FLUDD to get you everywhere, replayability is really good for it, and the game itself is just so bright.

I agree with your thoughts of Resistance 2.
I went back to Resistance 1 though, and couldn't play. Controls almost killed me. I couldn't stand them.

I view Resistance as the Halo of the ps3.
It's a generic but fast paced shooter, which is fun.
I believe the bulk of the firmware is at about 60 %, then once it reaches that, the dl process speeds up, then it continues to install.
I do not know why though.
