I'd say every game on this list (maybe except The Cave) is a recent must-play title ...while Halo and AC2, being now the "highlight" on XBL are a few years old.
They are trying desperately to regain peoples trust by doing the same things that Sony does. It seems like they can't get it right, however.
over 9000
since the average playtime is 100-200h
The flaws are almost non existent, I'm playing through it for the third time now and didn't notice any big, game breaking issues. If you think about the fact that story, graphics, dialogues, sound, presentation, game length and most importantly gameplay ALL are top-notch you simply CANNOT deny this game a perfect score. Even the multiplayer is very well executed for a game where the single player already justifies it's price. This truly is a masterpiece and I honestly can't un...
Why even bring it up in the first place?

It's very worth watching from start to finish.
They are probably making one right now after there were enough people who wished for one. Or it just wasn't high enough on their priority list to release the game later because of it.
^GT5 came out in 2010, Forza 4, Forza Horizon and Forza 5 have no weather or day/night cycle until today.
^I'm starting my third year this septemberr. It's the only subscription I'm happy to pay because there is something interesting every week.
Isn't he partially responsible for what happened lately?
Yeah this and the fact that a disconnect makes you lose a whole day (and a lot of clan members) are my only problems with the MP.
Otherwise it's the most intense and addictive online experience I've played in a while.
Rent TLOU? I played through it twice and I'm doing another playthrough on Survivor right now. I'm also playing it simultaneously with a friend (he's playing, I'm just doing the hard parts) who doesn't have a PS3. Not to mention the great multiplayer. And I will definately play it again one day just for fun. This is one of the best games ever, I wouldn't even consider renting this.
Yeah Sony killed the cam to save the console but Microsoft killed the whole console with it's always-on, always-listening cam ...I prefer Sony's approach and will probably get a camera some day, but I don't want to be forced to buy/use one.
They see you trollin', they disagreein' ...
Didn't ya know N4G is short for "Nonly 4comment Gheadline"
^He refers to the prologue where Joels real daughter is saying she sold drugs to buy the watch. But after reading his comments it seems like he's the one on drugs ...CoD is dead for a few years now, just accept it.
So Microsoft is the light side? That doesn't feel right.
Play it again, there's new game plus.
Also, a friend of mine who doesn't have a PS3 came by and wanted to play it from beginning to end, so I'm playing it for the second time now and it's just as interesting as the first time even when I'm just watching him play and giving tips. Naughty Dog truly deserves the award for best developer this generation.
What's your best game of this generation then?
I can't remember playing any game ever with this kind of AAA-quality throughout a playtime of 15-20 hours, it felt like playing an incredibly long hollywood movie.
This game is ahead of it's time and will clearly outperform a lot of so called "next-generation" titles, that's why I see no problem in describing it as "game of the generation".
Demon's Souls has the better overall concept imo (e.g. seperate worlds where you are forced to explore them multiple times, black/white world and character events based on your tendency, etc.)
I played through Demon's Souls 5 or 6x but only 1,5x through Dark Souls so I REALLY hope we'll get another Demon's Souls next-gen!
