That was painful to read, author really should look for another job.
That must be a joke, if this is a sign of what's to come I'll never buy a game on Day1 again.
I know, TLOU sounds equally amazing compared to other games :)
Naughty Dog has really good sound designers, that's why I'm hoping UC4 might be the first one to utilize this trademark.
Well technically it is definately remastered... it's engine was completely built around the PS3 hardware even on a binary level. So it definately went a lot of work in coding this for PS4. 60$ would've been okay considering the content and the visual improvement... but I think that 50$ is a much better sweet spot to sell this again.
Common sense or not, some might even argue that TLOU is simply the better game ;)
I don't think that this price drop came because of the Halo collection which is releasing a couple months later... 50$ is just a better price point from a business perspective. That my friend, is common sense.
There are quite a few people who consider this to be the best game they've ever played... so it's normal to want the 'ultimate' edition of it in your collection. Sony didn't need to lower the price, it would've sold very good anyway... but it's good for everyone that they did it so I don't even care why it happened.
First a high quality video editing software for free, now commercial quality audio in games... can't wait to hear it in Uncharted 4 =P
I got it Day1 on PS3 and I have the PS4 version preordered already... if there is one game I'd get for a "slight graphical bump" like he calls it it's TLOU. I want the best version of this masterpiece in my collection and I'm really looking forward to enjoying this in 1080p/60fps again with all the DLC (that I've missed on PS3).
Sony can make this sure ONLY if they give it proper first party support. Not every game should get Morpheus support but every game where it makes sense should have it. Move was such a cool (and well working) piece of hardware but it failed because of missing support from Sony... I really hope this won't happen to Morpheus as well (and I hope that Morpheus will re-ignite the capabilities of PS Move).
I honestly can't imagine that it will be the best FPS of the current console era... there is so much more to come during the next 5+ years. But there's a high chance that it will be the best FPS available on PS3/360, depending on how good it's running on these old systems.
My hopes lie in PES15 as well. PES13 was a masterpiece, PES14 was just 'meh'... but they had the excuse of using FOX engine for the first time.
This year they're releasing on nextgen as well so my expectations are pretty high. The gameplay reveal should be in just a few days and I can't wait to see it.
No it will be FIFA 14 + ultra realistic ball physics that will give you a whole new soccer 'experience' where you can 'feel' the game!
Seriously if there's one franchise I hate with true passion, it's FIFA... even though I love the sport itself with true passion. The thing with FIFA is that the game still has so many unbelieveable bugs and errors after over 10 years even though it's making a sh*tload of money every year. Where is this money going? ...
Actually I disagree. The only game on that list I'm personally interested in buying is Destiny. But there's also Assasin's Creed Unity, Evolve, Dragon Age Inquisition, Driveclub, TLOU Remaster and Little Big Planet 3 that I'm probably getting this year.
Also Hotline Miami 2, InFamous First Light, GTA 5 Remaster, Galak-Z, The Witness and Diablo 3 UEE are worth mentioning. 2014 is packed with good games but this list doesn't do it justice.
^It started when somebody claimed that Sony will not refund anything and made an article about it which got approved despite being flamebait.
On topic, great news... I never doubted that I'll get these 10$ back =)
Sony is not like that.
I knew that for a long time, that's why I preordered the PSN version the moment it went up... can't wait for the beta =)
Alpha was incredible and confirmed all my expectations.
Well I'm still reading "I'll buy a Xbox One when Halo ships" a lot... so MS has a good reason to rely on this IP. It's certainly their biggest franchise by far just like Uncharted is for Sony or Mario for Nintendo.

what did I just see?
There were around 10 Bloodborne news since E3... and every one of them got me more excited about the game. If all of this comes true this is might become my new holy gaming grail. I just hope they take their time with it and maybe even push it back a few weeks... to avoid all the other games that will release in early 2015.
As far as I know even the currency in this game is "blood"... raises the question how it all works within the ecosystem. I can understand levelling up with blood, but buying new weapons with it? That's odd :D
Bloodborne will end this war next year.
