it's okay, i can live with regular 1080p through my ps4. it's just that 4k is intriguing which makes me sometimes wanna know how it really looks compared to native 1080p
IMO there was nothing "controlled" or "manipulated" here. DF are just excited for new hardware so they are reporting their findings about it. i am a big ps4 fan and i never owned an xbox console in my life but what in this article makes it seem manipulated? they are showing result figures.
like @XiNatsuDragnel said, this is very interesting. it seems that with a barebones version of it running on the X1X the 1080p games unsurprisingly reach native 4k (1.3 * 4 = 5.2), then 900p games have a bit of a difficulty running native 4k (1.3 *5.76 = 7.488) but maybe some of them will reach that goal with optimisation. the rest will use 2160c and dynamic resolution scaling to run the game at a wanted resolution.
sadly with my country's tax the price of the console would be m...
alright thanks for the answer
correct me if i'm wrong, but physics are tied to the CPU right? the cpu increase is rather minimal so i wonder how much can it actually affect.
well it is a playstation website so they probably only picked games from that show, but ps4 exclusives are still the best IMO.
again don't get me wrong i expected the game to sell pretty well but not "best selling game of 2017 in uk" in it's launch day well...
no it was X1X footage. we know that because in the video the game ran at checkerboard 4K.
it was EA who gave them the footage though...
don't get me wrong i really don't think that the X1X will get really unbelivable sales, i am just saying that sometimes the casual crowd is seriously unpredictable.
obviously it'll be there. it's one of sony's big ps4pro showcases they must nail it.
it all depends on how the mass market sees the X1X. sadly we really don't know about it. for example i never expected for crash to be the best seller of 2017 in 2 days on amazon uk, it's just crazy, i expected a pretty great success, but not to this level.
X1X is not close to being on a loss though
You are speaking on components that thier direct effect on resolution is minimal and as long as your gpu isnt powerful enough for a certain resolution then the game wouldnt run at that resolution. In the end we know for a fact that most multiplatform games ran at 900p on X1 and 1080 on the PS4. This also makes sense because the ratio of pixels is (1600*900)/(1920*1080) = 0.694 and the ratio of the ps4 power to the X1 is about 1.8/1.3 = 0.72 the difference between the ratios works so devs alwa...
read my other comment where i spoke with actual numbers before you respond like that...
Then please explain? I just used logic. Why do you think we were told to not expect all multi platform games to be native 4K games on the X1X? Because that most of them were 900p games while first party was 1080p. As 1080p to native 4K is a 4 times increase in resolution means that you need 4 times of power, which means you need 1.3*4 = 5.2 TF. BUT, 900p to 4K needs more power. (3840*2160)/(1600*900) = 5.76 times the resolution increase which means you would need 1.3*5.76 = 7.488 TF for nativ...
The fact that the game managed to run at native 4k within a day tells me that they have a forced parity for the base ps4 and base X1 games. Before you downvote hear my reasoning. The power difference between the ps4 and X1 is almost the exact same as the one between 1080p and 900p hence why usually ps4 games run at 1080p and X1 runs at 900p most multiplatform games. Now if a game manages to run at native 4K within a day then that means that raw power is enough without optimisation which means...
We have 3 main issues in next gen.
Cpu is not an issue as ryzen prices will go down.
Gpu IS a problem, because of the pro and the X1X, the gpu increase would be minimal as devs would be forced to make their games 4k.
RAM IS a problem as well. Ram prices are reducing way too slowly which would mean that it probably wouldnt be possible to have more than 16 GB ram (i wish it was possible to get 24 but i dont see that happening.
Like Ram, HDD price decline is ...

it is confirmed to work as SP as well.
Anthem definitely was one of the cooler games of E3. just hoping that it looks anywhere close to it with my 970 at 1080p.
in my opinion a "premium PC experience" is ultra settings. the X1X for me is an incredible 4k console though.
