I would un fuck the company, bring it down to a community level and ask them what they would like to see in a game.

I have a GTX 680 and im seriously considering getting an AMD card next time round because their price/performance ratio seems to be holding an advantage over nividia lately. (LOL titan).

I don't care how good the graphics are but that trailer has definitely been spruced up with adobe after effects. The release game will NOT look as good as that.
But of course that is all it takes this generation is a game with shiny graphics and the hype train pulls away from the station and it is praised for being so innovative....
I don't think the format for the game should be different at all.
I find that having a linear game can often be better for story because it is more focused on the chapter/task at hand and if you are roaming around the story becomes secondary and bioshock prides itself big time on story.
The droves of sheep will still buy battlefield on PC

BF3 did not look as good as the "gameplay" segment that was shown.
I played the same mission maxed out on my PC and It looked nowhere near as good as the presentation.
Of course it is EA and I would not put it past them to edit or "touch up" their trailers.

It is and will be generic but it does make it bad, the generic military shooter done really well can still be good.
Steam has virtual manuals, they work just the same and well when you can have a virtual version it is just resources wasted.
