Have to admitt when I play an FPS game like BF3 im doing nothing but being a score junkie, there is no purpose to the game other than to reach the top of the leaderboard for that 30 seconds of glory.
Once you get over the initial graphical wow and settle in to the gameplay it has no purpose or any fufillment.
However games like Red Orchestra 2, you are not sure were a single enemy is, you know they are out there and you know popping your head up to look risks...
To me there is only two reasons to own a console.
1. Splitscreen is a blast, I still play Battlefront 2 occasionally with my bro on xbox.
2. Exclusives, but most exclusives are not enough to write home about and can be completed within a weekends good gaming session since the campaigns are short and well uncharted has a fantastic campaign but the MP leaves much to be desired...It could really just do with all the work focused on the SP campaign. Multiplayers ...

its clear you have no idea wbout future proofing, what specs are overkill.
1. Most games on PC are bad ports? lol what? do you even PC exclusive? do you even indie game? Do you even steam Greenlight? There is more exclusive games on PC than any other platform....Just because you havent heard of them does not mean they dont exist and are not good games.
2. Why is a 10 year old being used as an example here? Its very easy to pirate games on console and it has gotten far less technical to the point were a 10 year old could follow the guides.

Have you played the game on Eashmir at night on max settings? Have you seen Amerish during sunrise? or seen Indars Canyons during the day?
Im going to have to assume the answer to all those questions is no as this game is FAR above consoles, a million miles above them in every department and the ultra graphics preset isnt even released yet until they optimise the game more.

Keep Dreaming children, Sorry but I run a GTX 680 and an i52500K overclocked to 4.6GHz with 8GB of ram and the game runs at 30fps in large scale battles lol.....

Have my own home gym, go out on the regular to the cinema with friends, restaurants, ocassionally bars, weekends are pretty much me and GF time, sunday is marathon gaming day.

Sorry but if you think BF3s graphics are mind blowing with 64 players you are blinded by the severe amounts of bloom.

Its either to ambitious with the amount of players onscreen or its horribly unoptimised.
Sorry but BF3s gameplay is nowhere near as good as Planetside 2s and BF3 is nowhere near as good a technical achievement as PS2.
I was crushed by the old republic but yet again just another MMO with content you could complete within a month with no end game other than 3 PVP arenas.
And people wonder why everyone goes back to WoW in the end, its a juggernaught with to much content which is why Blizzards new MMO Titan is taking so long to develop.
Bioware once a great developer like so many others before EA got their grubby little mits all over you.

It goes on and on when people already have multiple devices which can provide for all these things in a far superior formatt.
The biggest problem for me with xbox live was how they charge you for it then they dont provide servers for their games.
Instead they focus on getting all this non gaming crap onto the console like twitter, facebook etc etc
When really most people have computers and or phones that do these jobs better you have to ask yourself why are you trying so hard to make a gaming machine something it is not MS?
