Just do what I do unless it’s an RPG with content the likes of Skyrim, The Witcher, or Fallout there is no rhyme or reason to buy a single players game at full price.
ZERO!
I will not pay $70 for a single player game unless it’s an RPG, because you often times get a 100 hours worth of game if not more with replayability.
All of my favorite single player games this generation, Spider-Man, God of War, and Horizon Zero Dawn I purchased on ...
What do you do? The same thing I’ve been doing on my One X simply go to my library and download the 360 and or OG Xbox game that I want to play.
Although to be perfectly honest with you the only games I go back to and this is just me are Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3.
I was actually just trying to finish up the first Mass Effect the other day. A game I’ve owned since day one just like two and three but all games I have yet to actually bother with minus ...
If the machine rumored is a Series S at 1080P-1440P, same CPU and SSD as the Series X, High Frame Rate, and no disk drive I’ll take it.
I’ve been all digital since 2017 and haven’t looked back since.
I don’t really care about 4K that means nothing to me. I’d rather have extra effects and better frame rates all day every day.
But hey that’s just me. Others are obsessed over pixels and not performance with extras on screen.
This will hurt single player sales more than multiplayer sales in my humble opinion.
As an example what I do now with purchases is if it’s an RPG of quality such as The Witcher or Skyrim I’ll go ahead and drop cash day one for it because I know I’ll get a substantial amount of hours out of it.
For any non RPG I wait for sale 100 percent of the time. Examples of games I waited for sale on were Spider-Man, The Last of Us, God of War, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

EA has got to give DICE 3 to 4 years to get the next Battlefield right. They cannot rush it out like they did the last one.
Because after what this years COD has done content wise with the BR mode, with the multiplayer mode, online co-op mode, and with the excellent campaign. To rush another Battlefield once more be a franchise killing mistake.
DICE has got to release something that is special that we have never seen before features wise, multiplayer wise...
I think Sony announcing both console versions at once stole Microsoft’s Thunder since they tried to be cute and not announce their digital only console at the same time as the Series-X several months back.
Now whenever Microsoft does announce it they’ll look like they’re copying Sony when they could have beaten them to the punch. Personally speaking if the Series-S is less powerful than the Series- X that will be an epic fail.
Considering Sony’s diskless ...
Unfortunately I don’t think Microsoft has an answer. Especially if all they have is Halo, Gears, and Forza then I don’t see how this gen fairs any better.
Those franchises have grown stale and have been beaten more than a dead horse. Sony literally has multiple sequels to top tier new IP coming this gen. They’ll be multiple Spider-Man. They’ll be God of War 2. They’ll be a new Horizon Zero Dawn as well.
I mean they’ve got games out the ass. And they actu...
All I care about because I know the games and price point will be great is an all black fucking PS5.
Whoever said let’s give em the zebra this go round really has me scratching my head as to why.
This is going to really piss me off. Because my take from his comments are that devs next console generation will once again push that 4K resolution talking point over buttery smooth 60FPS game play.
At the very least I hope that developers can give us the option to play their games at 1080P 60FPS. But still leave for those who want to play in 4K at 30FPS their option to do so as well.
Here’s what I don’t get okay? The entire planet see’s what PlayStation is and has been doing a far as games, studios, developers, types of games, home grown 3rd party support and so on and so fourth.
They’ve even adopted several popular things such as achievements from Xbox and made them their own. A smart man would say okay I see what my competition is doing its working, it’s popular, so all I have to do is improve upon that and make it my own.
Yet and...
Yeah no. The simple answer is they’re a Japanese company and will only sell to Nintendo or Sony. You can take it to the bank on that one.
And I hate to sound like a broken record but again the Japanese stick with their own. In America they’ll sell to anyone there is zero loyalty except to money.
The fact that insomniac was sold to Sony says all that needs to be said. Whether they had a working relationship or not.
Who is Microsoft’s console designer? Does anyone even know? Mark Cerny on the other hand is very well known for Sony.
I think Microsoft has and continues to have too many cooks in the kitchen which is why they have failed in the past.
They do however get a fresh slate this next go around and I hope that they can be successful. Competition is great for everyone.
Going forward I do think Microsoft needs a Mark Cerny type outside of Phil t...
What I’ve said before and it holds true to today is that you’d never see a top tier Japanese developer doing this with Microsoft. NEVER EVER!
Sony not only has complete and utter loyalty along with Nintendo from Japanese devs.
But there isn’t an example out there of American developers of this caliber doing the same for Microsoft year in and year out.
Microsoft it would seem has been on their own since launching Xbox. I actually find it...
The crossplay that was wanted was between Xbox and PlayStation.
COD tried to be cute and add PC players into the mix when they knew damn well what folks were talking about when speaking upon crossplay.
The way several other games do it. World of Warships legends being one of them.
Sadly however when you turn off crossplay you aren’t able to play warzone. You can play regular MP however.
This needs to be addressed and ...
I’m thinking they wanted to keep the $400 price point. There is no way the Series X sniffs anything less than $500.
Besides at this point framerates and not graphics should matter most. I stopped donating GTAV online for that reason 30 and below frames just isn’t fun.
PlayStation developers will be able to work wonders with this new machine. There is zero cause for concern what so ever. The power available is more than enough.
Priced a...
I think Xbox foolishly revealing specs and probably down the road price before PlayStation does helps Sony immensely.
They are smart people over there at Sony and they have been mum for a reason. They knew Xbox would give the goods first because that’s what they always do.
I guarantee Sony had a litany of options and plans prepared for the PS5 ready to go depending on what Microsoft did. And with their manufacturing clout and history there’s ample time to...
This infuriates me. The forums use to be so much fun and cool during the PS3 days. Then they did a revamp that no one wanted and asked for and people simply stopped using them.
End of an era I suppose.
I wonder why Microsoft didn’t try to buy them? They’re an American company after all. Unless Sony had exclusive bidding right on insomniac If they ever wanted to sell? Hmm I guess maybe the library of hits laughably isn’t what Xbox wanted?
I’m more concerned with performance than graphics. I’m tired of frame rate drops under 30 and tired of games that should have 60 frames per second unable to because of weak CPU’s.
So this go round it’s Performance> Graphics all day every day. Where we are at now graphically is perfectly fine just look at all of PlayStation’s first party games and Gears 5 on Xbox as an example.
Here’s to hoping we no longer have to see frame rate drops in our console ga...
I’ve tried to stay positive about Xbox, but after seeing the Halo Infinite gameplay my god did it look bad. 5 years folks and you’d think they’d reveal something with explosions, huge set pieces, just some Michael Bay ish with Master a Chief decimating entire areas.
Instead what we got was a poor mans DOOM. A much boring less beautiful looking version with a grappling hook. I mean it looked like it was running on an OG Xbox with pop in and bland textures.
