Is this something that can be changed with a mere software update?
Because if it can do 4K and 1080P I’m not sure why it cannot support 1440P.
1440P is the Goldie Locks just right resolution for games that can’t do 4K 60FPS.
Speaking of resolution do 4K TV’s support 1440P? I assume right correct? Since they support 1080P?

I’m going to tell you right now folks. Do not accept less than 60FPS this generation just so the resolution can be at 4K.
I know most of us would accept 1440P if it meant the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS. Or at the very least a performance mode which gives us the option for 1080P at 60FPS.
Wasn’t this not even Treyarchs game? I believe it was Sledge Hammers and Activsion handed it to David Vonderhaar a year ago to make it passable. Don’t hold me to that but I could have sworn I read something to that affect.

So this is it then? Games will be 4K at either 60 FPS or 30FPS this up coming generation? No in between of say 1440P 60FPS, 1080P 120FPS? Because you know some of these games coming down the pipe will say 60FPS but dip, and others will just do 30FPS.

This is extremely bad. I always take the games anyway to add them to my collection. But Microsoft really needs to stop hogging all of the good games for game pass leaving gold members in the lurch.
It’s ridiculous to me that they’re pushing vapor wear out monthly for GWG at this point. Meanwhile over on my PlayStation account I have consistently gotten top tier games this year via the monthly benefit for PS Plus.
Hmmm I think I can get by on 640GB for now. That way I can put the extra $200 or so toward a couple of extra games and an extra controller on top of what I had already budgeted for games I want at launch.
What is the actual usable storage? That’s the only thing I care about right now. I want to know if I need to budget for more or not. All these “leaked” UI things are great. But can someone leak the usable storage already please. We already know the UI will be buttery smooth and awesome. We got an official glimpse of it just a bit ago in video form.

Me personally I always turn vibration off on my controllers both on Xbox and PlayStation.
My mind will not allow me to use any precious battery life on that sort of feature.
I would also dim the light on the PlayStation controller just to maybe squeeze out that extra bit of juice per charge.
That’s just me though. Neat feature though for those who do use it.
The biggest impediment to that is the fact that Japan only supports their own unless it’s Apple. That is literally the only American hardware that sells in that country.
If Americans didn’t support PlayStation the same way Japan doesn’t support Xbox you’d see maybe a closer race since the U.S. actually buys consoles in crazy numbers where as in Japan not so much.

Personally I think Phil should be fired. And I don’t say that lightly. The plan was to launch the Series-X with Halo Infinite. He is the boss over there at Xbox. How on earth did that terrible demo get approved by him? How on earth was 343 allowed to make a snore fest after 5 years? And finally how can Microsoft after a botched Xbox One launch allow for another with a botched Series-X launch?

Personally I’d delay the console if as Microsoft says they aren’t in competition with Sony or Nintendo so that it launches with Halo Infinite when it’s “ready”.

There is no one to blame for this but the ineptness of 343 Industries. Folks were crying about 60FPS being wanted for all games and doing away with 30. And not oh we need 120. Another stupid decision by 343 in a long litany of stupid decisions since they took over the franchise from Bungie now delaying the game entirely because the graphics need to be upgraded to passable levels do to the 120FPS that no one asked for.

I theorized some months ago that what Activision would do going forward rather than have to build a BR from scratch each and every yearly COD is to instead have a themed War Zone for each and every new release.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Xbox needs allies with AAA American developers. They have less than zero at this point. They haven’t had a partnership the likes of what PlayStation and Nintendo have since the 360 with Epic and Valve.
