In other words, it's just a video game designed for entertainment. People pretend CoD killed their grandma or something. That is just sad.

This whole "kiddy system" thing got old long before the launch of the Wii U. Many of my friends own a Wii U and none of them are younger than 21 years. I am in my mid 20s and will game on Ninteno hardware for as long as I live.

I don't run into those problems with my PC, and my current build is over 2 years old.
A lot of piracy comes from China and Russia. It isn't as much of an issue in US and other first world countries.

Honestly, there are no complaints about online features (or lack thereof) from me. There are times when I am just not in the mood for other people. Gaming fills all kinds of voids of being alone.
