No, ahead of the curve is their business model of being on PC, Mobile, Day and Date gamepass games, and successful multiplayer games. Sony agrees 😏
I think one disadvantage of that is that Sony could release a new console that's more powerful soon(2 years) after that.
However I think overall it will be good for Xbox to not put pressure on consumers to choose between Xbox or Playstation anymore when they have their own console release schedule. This way the nextgen Xbox will have 2 years to itself.
It gives consumers more breathing room.
