People better put their money where their mouth is, when Japan Studio closed down. Support this game if you want to see more of these type of games. It's titles like this, is what defines PlayStation.
Hope this is a big wake up call to Sony to stop placing so many resources into live service games, and dedicate it to release more single player games.
Game developers still need to make money somehow, especially with the rising cost of game developments and inflations in full swing. Charging for a remake or remaster is justifiable provided if the pricing is right.
I doubt there'll ever be a leap like Psone to PS2 again in terms of hardware and graphical leap. I remember back in the days, seeing Metal Gear Solid 2 reveal trailer shown at E3 for the first time. I was genuinely in awe. The leap it had over the original Metal Gear Solid on Psone was truly generational.
Sony really needs to on going back to their roots and continue to offer great single player games instead of the live service crap they're so hellbent on pushing.
Games like Wukong proves that single player games are far from dead. Developers need to get the gist that multiplayer is not always needed nor the need to implement it in every game.
As long as a title offers a decent quality campaign, it'll be well received.
Hopefully the reception of Concord, will remind Sony on going back to their roots and continue to offer single player IPs instead of the live service crap they're so hellbent on pushing.

Yes, the grass is green, and the earth is not flat.
Considering the price difference, and more powerful modern hardware, it's expected to.
Rest in peace...
"Powa of Da Cloud" - Nothing came out of that
"World's most powerful console. 12 teraflops of Power" - PS5 Basically trades blows with it on multiplatform games and kills it with their first party games
"We're focusing on building world class 1st party studios" - Yeah, I guess by his definition is forking out money and buying studios.
"Xbox top selling console" - When they're selling w...

The so called incredible Game Pass that we hear year after year, is certainly not helping the Xbox much.
I was one of the few who really enjoyed Heavenly Sword back in the days.
Recently, I got around to revisiting it again via PS3 emulation. Increased the framerate to 60fps within the settings. Game is just as fun as it was back then.
Here's the video on how it runs.

Good for them when they do. PS2 to me, is still the greatest console. The amount and sheer volume of unique games and variety is unmatched. That era was truly the golden age of gaming. Games came in complete state with booklets/Manuals/, no microtransactions, no online requirements, nor fancy DLC being charged.
I sincerely hope physical medium will be around longer. Other than the convenience of downloading, there's no benefit for myself when it comes to Digital Only. I can't lend nor bring my game over families house to play, can't trade it in, and it's more expensive.
Here in Australia, at my local store, a typical AAA game would cost somewhere between $80 to $100 depending, whereas a standard digital version of the same game, costs $110 to $130..
Let's be real here. Valve will never release part 3 to any of their games.
I'm all in for Killzone returning, but with live service? No thanks. Just keep it like how it was like previous games.
Great site that offers good guides for game optimization and benchmark performance.
Sony has so many great dominant IP's that they can bring back, such as Infamous, Socom, Ape Escape, Jak & Daxter, Siren, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Twisted Metal, Little Big Planet, Gravity Rushy, Motorstorm, Wild Arms, Resistance, Wipeout, Alundra, Colony Wars, Cool Boarders, Knack, Syphon Filter, Dark Cloud, Omega Boost, The Legend of Dragoon, G-Police, The Getaway and so on. Many of these games is what defines Playstation and sets them apart in previous generations.
