I have to agree, Diablo 3 was never "bad". Sure the RMAH upset people. Personally I didn't mind it that much, it was a little broken sure but...meh.

If google is serious about assuring people. They need to make it a guarantee. Make it so there's a 10+ year guarantee on any item purchased. So they have to stop sales at least 10 years before shutting it down, or refunding everyone all of the money they spent on games "not service fees". But that isn't going to happen obviously...nor does it seem like a wise investment for google...it's crazy but the guy who said this only works as a service is right.

Isn't Destiny already f2p, or going to be for everyone soon anyway?

I find it funny how many people don't believe me when I tell them US in general has poor internet. They just seem to assume that anyone can get what they can. They also tend to think it's good when it's not lol.

@rdgneoz3 Releasing it early on accident doesn't make it a bug either. If someone accidentally drops dlc to everyone free, that doesn't make dlc a bug..it just means someone made a boo boo

I don't think it's that no one asked for it. I think the point is that the cost to design and market the new cheaper version would have been better spent taking a hit and just dropping the price of the actual Switch. At least better spent in the viewpoint of the consumer. This is them lending an olive branch without actually losing anything. Though, I would argue the 300 dollar price point for the switch is actually still a really good deal for what you get. ...

Nintendo 2DSwitch. It's like a Switch, but in two dimensions..it almost can't even function xD

2423d ago 0 agree5 disagreeView comment

That's the point. They drop this model, and the regular ones price seems justified because of it's "features". Also parents with less income are like "Hell yeah, I can afford to get my kid a switch now!" or whatever..

The point? Give a cheaper option and helps justify keeping the original at $300. I think this is very unfortunate for anyone that wants a "real" Switch "and doesn't want to pay 300". I'm curious to see how they do a price drop or discount, if any. If the "real" switch was lowered in price it would make almost zero sense to get the cheaper model. So they'd have to lower both, but...it's Nintendo, and a price drop on a new edition anywhere near laun...

I remember that whole xbox being your "whole entertainment system" idea. Try to do too many things and you end up doing none of them well most of the time?

I would like to point out that "targetting a niche audience" does not in any way mean that something is less appealing to another audience. I think it just has a little something "extra" to add appeal to yet ANOTHER audience. This doesn't have to make it less appealing to casuals. Oh also, you can target multiple audiences as long as they don't directly contradict one another right?

I wonder the definition of "poor" game?
Why are you hating on a word you had a good time with? :)

A "bad game". Would be a game that the majority opinion is that it was bad. You can say you "think" it's a bad game. Saying that it IS a bad game however, that would be false. Assuming we are going by the majority of reviews. Which we don't really have an alternative measuring stick so...we should right? ...

A good example of being able to use a word that can be used to describe nearly any product ever. "niche". A specific brand of soap. A specific brand of deodorant. If you break it down from "gaming devices" to "consoles" to "sony" sure now it's niche. But you can do that for just about any product. "Water", "Bottled water", "16.9oz bottled water", "absopure 16.9oz bottled water" The market for water is not &quo...

I find it funny to say that it's an ignorant way to look at business. Sure the point is to make money, that's pretty obvious right? Which to me means only one thing. That when someone says a company is greedy, they are referring to the company doing immoral things to make more money. Or doing so with disregard to anything or anyone else. Like I dunno, fracking. And why do you think making money is the only reason a company can exist? I like to think there are at le...

I for one just hope that when my kids get a little older. That I don't have them come to me and ask me to get them something that can ONLY be gotten from a loot box. Then my options are A. Make the kid sad and try to explain to them why. Or B. Give in and be forced to literally gamble for the kids happiness.

On another note. Can you guys imagine if back in the day you had to pay the full price of a game for each world/level in mario games? lol
