Should at the very least win best soundtrack of the year. They should play the Vs Moebius theme at the game awards.
Everything you said here applies to me as well. Been playing the series since 1992.
Saying the combat UI is "absolutely terrible" is pretty damn harsh. It's not perfect but I think it's quite good actually.
I don't think we're going to get to play as Zelda in BotW 2. I want it but don't think it will happen. I think Monolith Soft is working on a prequel to Skyward Sword where we will be playing the whole game as Zelda before she becomes the reincarnation of the goddess Hylia.
Good title of the review
You'd get a lot more out of 3 if you played 1 and 2 beforehand but like others have said it's not vital.
The biggest file size I've seen on a Nintendo first party title is Xenoblade Chronicles X at 22.6 GB.
I have always preferred random encounters. Then again that's all I played for my first 10 years of playing rpgs.
It's got some flaws but still my favorite rpg ever.
I think the author's purpose was to get rpg lovers like us to name a bunch of our favorite rpgs. I'd say mission accomplished. Anything to get more attention to these games is great.
HD remasters of Xenosaga, Xenogears and Vagrant Story would be ideal. Also, can't believe I almost forgot this, HD remaster of Arc Rise Fantasia. That game got a lot of shit for SOME subpar voice acting but it has one of the best turn based battle systems I've ever played. For the record I think most of the voice acting in the game is really good.
Only problem is it'll probably be very limited physically.
Hopefully Dragon Quest III remake releases sometime next year. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 releases in 2 months so I'll have my rpg fix this year.
BotW 2 launches alongside Switch 2 in spring 2023.
I wouldn't call games like Triangle Strategy and Octopath Traveler second class leftovers. The music, story, characters, gameplay and voice acting of both those games are great.
I wasn't referring to you dude. I was referring to those you were talking about.
I wouldn't mind Sony purchasing Square so long as Dragon Quest kept coming to Nintendo consoles. I'm fine with Final Fantasy being console exclusive to Sony.
Square doesn't want to almost completely lose the Japanese market by abandoning the Switch.
It must've been in very early development. It'll probably come out late next year or early 2024.
