I also have the Samsung KS8000 and you must learn how to set up your TV if you get 35ms with hdr...
For best experience, select the 'Game' special viewing mode and set the backlight to max. Set 'Smart LED' to 'High' and 'Color Space' to 'Native'. This results in an input lag of 22.6ms.
So do that and stop spreading lies about the HDR input time please, just a friendly advice :)

I wouldn't tell anyone to buy a 40ms response time 4K TV tbh, in 1-2 years when games are even more demanding on the PS4 Pro those buyers will regret buying a "slow" TV like that. 30 ms tops with HDR is what you want if you buy a TV today. You can find reviews sites all over internet that are specialised on HD/4K and HDR TV's.
The more time you research now, the longer the TV will last you and the more money you save (for buying games ofc !!) :)
First of, this pictures aren't taken in TRUE HDR, and even if they was, you still need a 4k monitor or TV to see them correct. Do you have that? (4K TV) if not, you wont see any difference.

Ofc Sony and every other Tv manufacturer wants you to buy their latest products, but the Playstation part of Sony made a console that caters to both HD and UHD users. So they don't "trick" anyone to do anything. Aren't you an adult that can make your own decisions based on your own economics and so on ?

I can agree that I sounded too "direct on" in my thoughts i my post above, never intended to sound like that, but thats how I worded it when typing too early in the morning ;)

I never experienced any drifting picture but when I start Driveclub VR the picture is not centered as the dashboard on the PS4, its slightly to the left (but not drifting). Hope they patch and recenter the game soon, because I always ends up sitting turned slightly to the left and after playing for hours in a row I feel the neck start to hurt, not good.

That just means the company tested the product and are sure it works 100% with their own system, nothing more... They didn't design or build it if you thought that.
I don't want to add to all the fanboy nonsense here from both sides, but if you are planning to buy the best console around this christmas holiday or up until next summer at least, you buy the PS4 Pro. If you don't like playing games, you can sit with your X-box One playing pretty much same games year after year and wait for another year just so you can brag about "More Powah", but in the end you end up buying those same games, with a little bump in resolution.
