@Aenea
Thanks for another great tip :) I check it out more in-depth later today.
I got my Pro yesterday and copyied (spelling?) all my 1.63 TB from my OG PS4 to my brand new Pro (wich I also upgraded to a 2TB drive.) Took me 6 hours and 12 minutes with both connected to my Asus R-TN66U Router so today I'm just gonna poke around in all the games I got that got patched up for the Pro.
On topic: The passing through is an interersting subject. My homecine...
I checked it out and if you read the info text it says 4k 60hz at 8bit.. I really want 10 bit or I lose million of shades in HDR alone. And you can goggle 8 bit vs 10 bit uhd and you'll find how much it affects the picture quality.
But thanks for the tip 😊
Edit check this out:

That sounds great. 7-8 hours and counting. If possible, please post your friends total play time here when you know it. Might convince me to buy it "sooner" :)
They already got a HD Bluray, I think you meant UHD (UltraHighDefinition) Bluray :)
@Aenea
I checked splitters but here it's impossible to find a true 4K splitter WITH HDR and 10Bit passthrough that supports HDMI 2.2b. Alright I found one, a professional one - but it cost around 8000 Euro, lol not for me ! :)
All the ones in the price range I think is OK, lets say up to 150 Euro or so, is downgrading my 4K TV picture in one way or the other :(
Sony failed big on this one I think. And it will cost us die-hard customers in the end...
I love games regardless of their length, but I'm really aware of the time/price ratio. That's why I wont buy Robinson The Journey despite I love PS VR games over anything else out there atm. It wouldn't be a problem if I could replay it over and over until I saved up for next game, but games like that tend to be played until I Platinum'd it and after that I just let it be for a few years until it feels fresh again. Apart from Firewatch and Valiant Hearts, those really draw me ...
Why the downvotes, I'm right and I can prove it

And as for the Pro, yes I will get it today (one day late sadly) but its sure to come this afternoon :)
You need at least a 65" TV at that distance to truly benefit from the 4K quality. We have our couch about 6-7 feet from our 65" 4K Samsung TV and everything is just gorgeous !! :D Thats TV and games/Blu-Rays on the OG PS4 - my Pro seems stuck in some transport due to all snow stopping the traffic on the way over to where I live.. :/
Hopefully I get it tomorrow friday at least :)
@Errorist76
I agree, but I think more long term, I bought OG PS4 on release day, and since then, PS VR and a Samsung top off the line 4K TV, tomorrow hopefully the Pro arrives and Im set for a few years actually. I would rather have UHD in the Pro for the coming 3-5 years when UHD movies start to pour out on the market in greater numbers and in better quality.
But now I know that Sony wants to milk me even more with a PS5 or so.. don't feel good to be honest!!

No Amazon in Sweden but thanks anyway. ( Not much of an import guy)
Just like the streaming instead of UHDdrive on the PRO. Sony - we only got Netflix 4k with what 20 movies? And we cant rent or buy movies here over PS Store. .. I think PRO seems great but lack of UHD drive make me believe Sony lost touch with smaller markets like Sweden sadly. .. 😭😕🙁
Sorry for rant. .. I guess I have too wait out Robinson. And I still think its too expensive for a...
Sad to see prices like this for VR. Exactly everyone I know that owns PS VR think its too much with 60Euro (here in Sweden) and if this becomes the norm, the gaming industry will kill VR before it even has a true chance to take off.
I paid a 5th of that price for Firewatch and that lasted me exactly 5 hours so why pay 60Euro for 3-3½ hours of gameplay ?!! Just because its VR doesnt make it worth 6 times more. I upgraded Driveclub VR for 20 Euro and I still play it after I got th...
Damn, I wish I had talent like that. Gorgeous pictures !!
Adblock plus for the win! :D
Or you do like me, watch the clip above on a 4K TV with the resolution on the YouTube clip set to 4K and actually see the difference. No compression to speak about in that case ! :)
@Maxor
I also have the Samsung KS8000 and you must learn how to set up your TV if you get 35ms with hdr...
For best experience, select the 'Game' special viewing mode and set the backlight to max. Set 'Smart LED' to 'High' and 'Color Space' to 'Native'. This results in an input lag of 22.6ms.
So do that and stop spreading lies about the HDR input time please, just a friendly advice :)

@Tapani
Does the Samsung KS8000 do game mode and HDR content?
Yes it does. For best experience, select the 'Game' special viewing mode and set the backlight to max. Set 'Smart LED' to 'High' and 'Color Space' to 'Native'. This results in an input lag of 22.6ms.
There you go :)
Wow Firewatch too, great list ! :D
I wouldn't tell anyone to buy a 40ms response time 4K TV tbh, in 1-2 years when games are even more demanding on the PS4 Pro those buyers will regret buying a "slow" TV like that. 30 ms tops with HDR is what you want if you buy a TV today. You can find reviews sites all over internet that are specialised on HD/4K and HDR TV's.
The more time you research now, the longer the TV will last you and the more money you save (for buying games ofc !!) :)
First of, this pictures aren't taken in TRUE HDR, and even if they was, you still need a 4k monitor or TV to see them correct. Do you have that? (4K TV) if not, you wont see any difference.
@Sono
Did you connect the Pro directly to your TV with the cable that came with your Pro ?
I did and it shows HDCP 2.2 both in PS Pro Settings and on my TV output info.
And it might be other way around, the Pro detects your TV but does your TV send the right signal to your Pro ?
Some TV's have only one 2.2 out HDMI and mine, Samsung KS8000 series, well all HDMI out are 2.2 and I can activate/deactivate them one by one in the TV menu.
I mean, co...
