While this was a great article and concept, I think this "wow let's copy god of war" "wow let's copy battle royal" "let's copy soulsbourne" or whatever is more bad than good for the gaming industry. Why not take, in this example God Of War "style", but put it in let say a middle east setting?

Still picking on DC for the first weeks of non multiplayer when 100% of singleplayer tour and events worked great from day one?! And I know, got it on release and when we could do the "trophyvideo" through PSN it got ranked as my 2nd most played game with 940 hours, so I know how good or bad it was EVERY single day, including Bikes addon. Did you actually play for more than a few days before you joined the media hatewagon for DC?

I totally agree regarding EA, Ubi and so on. But I got all Sony Exclusives including Days Gone at day one. Not a single regret so far.
But no rule without exception I guess. But that doesn't men preordering blindly, we need to follow developerblogs and a gameplaytrailer or two too see the development is right on track. One signal otherwise and we should keep an even closer look or cancel preorder if too worried.

It's a relatively new game that was said before release to have a 10 year long supportplan as a service. If EA/Bioware backs out now it's up to them but repay all money to the ones that bought this shell of a game, or no gamer, casual or hardcore will dare buy a game in a few years. You could just flush down 60 bucks in the toilet and say "game over".

No wonder we get a zillion Battle Royal games but not one shooter thinking outside the BR, MT's, multiplayer formula. Why bother do something new and exciting when "the masses" is happy with clone after clone?! I still have hope some unheard of studio is building away on their own unique game like minecraft, pubg, demons souls did back in their beginning. Rather play something new now ...
