No timemachine, just that Sony built a system removing every single bottleneck for max efficiency from SSD to the CPU/GPU's and MS did not.
But don't trust me, trust legends like Cerny, Sweeney and Carmack and so on, you know, these REAL developers that know how this works. :-)
You are comparing PS5 and Xbox as they are 2 ordinary systems. Problem with that is that while Xbox is an ordinary (but with higher specs) the PS5 isn't. Sony remade the ENTIRE I/O-system and tweaked every single component for max efficiency!
And that's the problem here.Only people that saw and understood Cerny's deepdive will understand that this is much much faster than traditional computing speed like the one Xbox is using. It's truly a case of apples vs oranges c...
And then they twist that sentence to make a few more stories to run. 😉
Wow this been debunked a zillion times at least! Read it carefully: IT WAS A *VIDEO* OF THE DEMO RUNNING AT 40 FPS, *NOT* THE ACTUAL DEMO ITSELF. Simply put, it was FAKE!
Now please stop going on spreading that lie. 🙄
"How are either of these consoles ‘More flexible’ when they use the same architecture? Please explain."
They don't use the same architecture. Because if they did, they would be able to play eachothers games, and they simply don't do that. Check technical walkthroughs by DF on Xbox and Cernys deepdive for the PS5 and educate yourself. Or, if that's too hard for you, just hold the gamepad, play games and let the rest to people how understand how this is ...
Hopefully that's it.
I don't know, I didn't downvote you. I guess they just don't agree with what you wrote, I think it is as simple as that. ;-)
Only way that could happen is if Cerny himself posted the image on Twitter. I'm pretty sure just a handful people have clearance to final design right now. I remember reading that one week before PS4 was unveiled, only 8-10 people have seen it "live" in front of them. And that was including 2-3 people working at the factory making the chassi.
Sony just assembled it themselves just before the reveal. I guess they do the same this time. Why change a working concept ?
Never say never. But I agree, it will not happen next-gen.
Yes you can download it on the PS5 due to the BC.
Yes.
"100s of millions has lost their jobs"
What? Where did this happened? I heard nothing about in the news but magicaly you heard it?
Stop pulling numbers out of your **s.!
And.. Hundreds of millions is like up to billion people... Have entire China lost their jobs.. I think not!
Both Uncharted 4,Lost Legacy and Last Of Us Pt 2 is using a heavily optimized build for PS4 / Pro so why are you lying?
The "quote" you make about the PS3 engine is only true for the Last Of Us(1) PS4 port...
You are not simplifying anything, you just try to twist mandf's words to your liking.
The point is, if M$ are supporting this generation, why no games to compete with Sonys Death Stranding, Days Gone, Last of Us Pt2, Ghost of Tsushima and so on in the end of current gen.
M$ surely talks alot but no show HOW they support this gen. Wait for next gen, wait for this, wait for that. They just keep on lying while Sony and Nintendo delievers, day after day, week after week, ye...
Shouldn't Kojima Productions make the Metal Gear remaster ? (if they ever remaster the game that is)
That would be more logical imho.
Yes, sort of.
“Gameplay will be very similar to a game like DOOM 3 or Dead Space but in first-person,” development duo Dakoda Jones and Micah Jones revealed. “It will be a slower paced FPS trickled with a variety of mechanics that revolve around the main character’s skills as a firefighter.”
That's from the developers themselves.
You seen too many Hollywood movies man, 90% of all Vikings were living off farming / fishing.
@Squall82
The PS4 had PSVR... ;)
@alb1899
Sony doesn't have a regular PC SSD. They built THE SSD and what most people (chose to?) ignore is the fact that they have turbocharged EVERY SINGLE CHIP in the PS5 to remove the bottlenecks for that insane speed.
So, no this developer doesn't have a clue about PS5 SSD as they are only working on Xbox who have a beefed up PC SSD and more traditional architecture around the SSD.
The Xbox will load regular levels at high speed, but the PS5 will load th...
I don't think Sony would release a console with a dust collecting grid like that one. That would be a nightmare for the cooling system if it's clogged up with dust.
Edit: From the LetsGoDigital site that published that orginal:
